1. The Gigabyte GTX580 that uses the windforce cooler, does it interfere much with case airflow? Just concerned it may cause noticeable increases in CPU temps for example.

2. Will this card OC using say Afterburner? I say this just because I'm confused whether its non-reference and whether you can mess about with voltages etc...
1. Typically no it doesn't, even though it blows the heat into your case, your ventilation should be capable of kicking it out rapidly. At worst you'll see a 1-2C increase, but even that is within the margin of error for CPU readouts.

2. Not 100% sure, but I'm going to say yes. Gigabyte has no reason not to allow such small modifications after they have gone and put a larger heatsink

can anyone explain to me though why after 5 minutes my voltage regulators temperature and everything else starts jumping up, then goes down, then up again? i know nvidia implemented that whole power consumption cutoff crap or what ever, but is this it?

btw this is current idle...

My two both idle at 42-45 degrees, under load around 72 Degrees

Comes down to how much airflow in your case you have for them.

OK I tried it without EVGA Precision software at windows start up and it still didn't take.

At first I did see that something was going on with the video until windows actually started. I thought it was not going to work but as windows actually started it cleared up. Hmmm?

Wait I realized I didn't extract them to location disk I just ran it....going to try that.

No even though I saved it to location file and then ran the flash when everything restarted I was still at default settings and EVGA Precision software was not on 'start with windows'.

Hmmm any suggestions would be great....I will have to continue after work tonight. Thanks in advance for any help. And again thanks Korak for helping as usual.

Updated!

Lets welcome the gtx 560 to the club With adding the 560, I decided to make some refreshing changes.

Renamed thread title to NVIDIA GTX 500 Series Owners Club
Changed the owners club graphic
Changed and added additional sigs
Lastly, added NiBiTor v6.0 under useful information. That's right, it has been released to the public.

I modded my bios with a 800/2000 stock clock and changed maximum voltage to 1.213, however I was unable to get past 950 core stable with the added voltage. I guess my card just doesn't like anything past 950.
