For how long and with an overclock? I don't know.
If we're talking 24/7 usage then that might be questionable, but for just some average gaming session you should not have any problems. The HX-750 runs my sig rig just fine; and I've got a bunch of hard drives, a bunch of fans, fan controller, and some cathode lighting on top of it all to boot.

Yeah I know. No folding@basement for me. My parents complain that I'm using too much energy as it is with this thing.

And before anyone starts the stereotypical ohhhhhh snap he's a 40 year old man living in his mom's basement. I'm 21 and trying to finish college. Lol.

You need to run tests to make sure it's stable. I used that template in particular and found that it worked for me and the temps weren't outrageous. So I stuck with it.

But now I can't seem to get 900 on the core, where some people have been able to get over 900. It's all luck of the draw really.

On page 96 xxbassplayerxx made the following comment on the GTX 570 :

"If you are running a 570, do NOT disable the power limit and do NOT go above 1.15V, regardless of cooling!

There are at least six confirmed deaths from this.

See here:http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/9282...fried-gtx.html

And my thread over at XS:http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=266026"

So be very careful and do your homework before you turn your video card into a brick.

Deaths from low voltage can be had with the power limit disabled. Without it disabled, they seem to die around 1.2V.

So a 0.05V buffer seems safe which is where I got my 1.15V recommendation. For a 24/7 speed, 1.1V and all power limiting enabled should be pretty safe. If you blow VRM's at this voltage, Nvidia needs a stern talking to for skimping on the power delivery so badly.

Thanks for that xxbassplayerxx - appreciate the info. I'm sure those wet behind the overclocking ears with GTX 570's will be too. You may have saved a video cards life. LOL.

My EVGA GTX 570 showed up a couple of days ago. "Upgraded" from GTX 460 SLi and am pleased to be back on a single card solution (for now). Little disappointed with the temps on the stock cooler, but my EK block will be here early next week

Hmmm... My 570 temperatures were pretty great. It idled around 40°C and loaded around 70°C.

Haha, well to further help solidify how a 750W is more than capable, here's a thread with pictures near the end of one guy's power draw from the wall (before factoring in efficiency):

http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?high=&m=828462

For what it's worth, live in your mom's basement for as long as you can take it. Seriously, paying back college loans on top of other bills and rent sucks big time.

Not really worried about it. Seems to be slightly warmer than the Gigabyte 460.
