Sandy Bridge i5 2500k or AMD 1090t BE? - Page 10

I got my P67A-UD7 about 3 weeks ago from GB, my proc is coming supposedly on its way! but like usually i cannot say anything until its here.

jean-Luc where are you getting yours from?

Electroneng you can check my signature for a link to my review/preview of the board.

I am not sure about the IGP and TDP, but it should go down, I think the i7 will already have its IGP disabled and not counted towards its TDP, as it has HT, and will run hotter than its i5 2500 counterpart, i am not sure but that is my guess.

Provantage. Was waiting on the Maximus IV but it's looking to be close to 400 dollars. Where are you getting your proc? Hook me up.

lol i wish, i haven't received it yet and when i do i will be under NDA until release date, BUT on release date I will have so much goodies for you guys, A HOW to OC for PROs, A HOW TO OC GIGABYTE P67 MOBO, P67 VS X58 Both at 4.0-4.3ghz analysis, I will also be doing a piece on the C300 and the new SATA6G the C300 is the only SSD /HDD that can take advantage of SATA6G, and I will put it to the test VS current marvell solutions. Many articles just for you guys!!!!!

FYI Gigabyte is going to RULE sandybridge, because of pure power delivery, many of these PWM designs were just finalized and couldn't meet VRD 12 requirements, that is why they are releasing late, the Gigabyte 24 phase analog VRM, is more powerful, more responsive, same preciseness, same Load Line control, yet it is just perfect array with its controller like a match made in heaven engineering wise. Some of those gimmicks on ROG boards are needed such as voltage read points, BUT gigabyte does not need these as voltage reading is done by a superior Super I/O the iTE8270F instead of WindBond alternatives that just suck, GB readings are withing 1-3-5% CPu and qpi/vtt are within 1%. ICH is 5% high, and qpi pll was in 3% the others are 1%-2%.

EFI for GB is probably going to be here before release, but will definitely be coming, so you have a choice whether to EFI or not.

Yoko Littner so what is the RIG in your sig, you went from i7 to Phenom II? why if it aint as good?

Sandy bridge and IVY are going to ouse the same Mother boards correct?

If so When are the real Mother boards going to come out?

Means i can sit back and pick up a used one for a good price..

But the good ones cant take that long to come out.

No IVY would be a different socket. LGA2011 will be sandybridge-EP and IVy bridge most likely something else.

Die shrink so far past initial release makes me think its going to definitely be a different socket. Intel will do weird things to maximize profits, they need a high end platform, whether it will be ivy bridge or sandybridge-Ep it will be a different socket.

I wonder why Intel never started using Westmere 32nm's in place of Bloomfield 45nm under the I7 name.
