Should have waited. They have the same problems as the 400 series.

GF110 fixed most of the issues GF100 had, so no, they have don't have the problems 400 had (noise/heat in particular) - http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum...-review-4.html

Thread Starter
well getting some very funny response here. But I had no big probs outta the evga gtx 460 768m. It is amazing for its price range. But the heat that little boooger puts out. I really never heard much noise till the fan was cranked up. It just stuttered at moments well into a game. But I just kicked the setting down a bit 1600x1400 or so ,high instead of ultra-high. And I have always felt it was not keeping up with my system, bottleneck if it applies.

I would normally study and research for days before buying, got caught off guard and made a quick decision. I only hear good things from those who own the bad boy. And correct me if I am wrong it seems it is basically a replacement for the current 480 line and performs about the same, less the heat. From what I am reading about 33% faster than a 470. Thats a wow factor.

stepping from what I am ,I hope it makes me a happy camper. I wouldn't want to pull the engine out of a Ferrari and hook a horse to it ! LMAO

OF COURSE cpu matters for gaming!!! EVERY component matters for gaming! RAM, PSU, cooling, HD. they can all bottleneck your system if you don't balance them out right. having such a powerful GPU with such a weak CPU makes no sense, just like having a 570 with 1GB of system RAM makes no sense cuz your system will get clogged up and the 570 won't be able to reach its full potential...
Hey man, I'm currently upgrading to my Sig Rig. It was my old CPU and I just needed and up and running PC!

Like I said, it was my bottleneck!

of course, especially with your i7. i don't know your motherboard, but it looks like the 275 is the oldest part in your machine.
i already ordered one, so no false hype here .
btw, if you do order, i would recommend the stock 570, since (as i found out here) evga don't bin anymore, so besides the slight oc'd clocks of the 570SC, you get the exact same card- and these clocks you can reach very easily with MSI afterburner
