Just got my EVGA GTX 580 SC!

Just got delivered today:

Bought from newegg, the box was shrinkwrapped, in case anyone was wondering.

Stock Volts are 0.962V @ 2D mode, 1.082V @ 3D mode.

I bumped the core clock from 797Mhz to 900Mhz and stress tested it using EVGA OC scanner and Unigine Heaven for 10 mins each, no artifacts. Havent tried anything past 900 yet, but will soon!

EDIT 2: Nvm I fixed the problem, I am running GTX 580 at 900 Core/1800 Shader no artifacting at all @ stock volts. I tried setting it to 915 Core but it crashed during Vantage run.

UPDATE: Unigine Heaven results @ 890Mhz Core / 1780Mhz Shader (linked)

UPDATE 2: Here are some 3DMark Vantage results.

I set the preset to Performance, and tested once at stock SC speeds (797 Core / 1594 Shader / 2025 Memory) and auto fan speed:

Next, I set the Core to 900 Mhz, shaders linked to core at 1800Mhz, and left Memory at stock (2025Mhz):

UPDATE 3: Here are 3DMark 11 results:
3DMark 11 results for 797 Core / 1594 Shader / 2025 Memory
3DMark 11 results for 900 Core / 1800 Shader / 2025 Memory

Summary:
Unigine Heaven (Default Settings @ 797 Core / 1594 Shader / 2025 Memory): 67.3FPS, 1696 Score

3DMark Vantage (Performance @ 797 Core / 1594 Shader / 2025 Memory): P29334 3DMark Score / 25167 GPU Score
3DMark Vantage (Performance @ 900 Core / 1800 Shader / 2025 Memory): P31497 3DMark Score / 27225 GPU Score

3DMark 11 (Performance @ 797 Core / 1594 Shader / 2025 Memory): P6079 3DMark Score / 5912 GPU Score
3DMark 11 (Performance @ 900 Core / 1800 Shader / 2025 Memory: P6569 3DMark Score / 6535 GPU Score

Lucky goose, can't wait to get mine. Now hurry! Buy another!

What's the difference between yours and the regular GTX 580? Just a core clock bump from the factory in the SC version? Is it possible to buy the regular GTX 580 and set it to 900 MHz as well?

SC is just factory OC. You could overclock a regular one to 900mhz as well, assuming you don't get a poor OCer.

Are SC's Picked because of better binning?

The SC version has the Core and memory speeds set higher in the Card's BIOS. There is debate over whether the GPUs themselves are high binned or not, but I beleive this is the case, because I read on guru3D's review that they could only get to ~850Mhz on their reference GTX 580.

I only bought the SC because the Vanilla was out of stock at the time (i think it still is), also the SC was only $10 more at the time I bought it.

Nice! I was wanting to go Evga, but had to settle with PNY. Not too upset since I wouldn't be needing the step up anyway but I've had evga my last 5 cards and have nothing but the best to say about them!

I'm going for a regular GTX 580. I notice a lot of retailers are charging a premium over MSRP for 580 SC, than they do over the MSRP for a regular GTX 580. What tool do you use to overclock the card with, an EVGA tool?
