Xai question, need help!

Thread Starter
I have the Xai, and have a question if anyone could answer. Is there a reason why when I unplug my xai and plug it back into the computer the mouse feels slightly more sensitive then it did when it was originally plugged in?(it also happens when I shut my computer off and turn it back on) It's really annoying have to continually get use to a more or less sensitive mouse each time. Do i need to set it to a certain setting so that it doesn't feel different each time I plug the mouse in or restart my computer?

Any help would be nice!

Could be that the profile is changing. Open up the config and set both profiles to the same CPI and then test it. Otherwise if you want them differently just check the light on the top of the mouse and make sure it's off/on depending on which profile you want to use.

Maybe pressing the dpi button helps, this is a tip from Steelseries themselves.

Well I tried that but it still is really buggy, if i do a combination of things the sensitivity feels different, but only like 1 or 200 cp different but its a big enough of a difference though. Either I'll unplug it and plug it back in or I shut the computer down and turn it back on and the mouse just feels different but only like 200cpi different, I switch all the cpi settings for each profile to 400cpi/125hz polling and I'm still dealing with this bug, settings feel slightly different but it's a huge difference cause I have to get use to a more sensitive mouse each time. Any other ideas as to what I could do? Thanks for the feedback btw.

Actually I may of fixed the problem, but anyone with any ideas on what I could try please list them.

Is the little light below the scroll wheel on? Mine is always off when I first boot, so I have to press that button.

Are you using xai drivers? I'd uninstall them.

Watch the DPI/Hertz too.
