G.Skill ECO Question?

Thread Starter
First of all. I will be using a set of G.SKILL ECO from my SIG RIG. I'm upgrade my back up rig.
Now for my question.
Running them at 1333. Can I get 6-7-6 out of them?

Most likely, there's often better timings headroom with a lower speed. See if you can get 6-6-6 or 5-6-5 out of them at 1333; I've never tested my ECOs at 1333 but I don't see how it's not possible.

It fail. That Biostar mobo sucks.
Which is better 1333 7-8-7 or 1333 7-7-7 or 1600 9-9-9?

1333 @ 7.7.7 should be snappier.

1600 @ 9.9.9 will score better in bandwidth benchmarks.

Will they not do 1600 @ 8.8.8? That would be better than both the above in most cases.

My kits not even ECO and it will do 1600 @ 7.8.7.

And dont forget, you might try adding a bit of voltage. Arent ECO's rated for ~1.35v? The DDR3 standard spec is 1.5v.

Dude, download MaxxMEM, its the only way to know for sure what works best on your system.

1333 7-7-7 should be about equal to 1600 9-9-9 in memory performance.
Adding a bit of voltage (i.e. 1.4V vs. 1.35) may be needed as well. ECO's are fine up to around 1.55-1.6V - they will work further, but it won't improve stability higher than that.

Team is a very good memory brand actually, just not as well known kind of like Super-Talent.
The Ripjaws 9-9-9 are actually available for $50 after promo code (just $3 more) and are very good, proven able to overclock to 1600 7-8-7 or even 1900 9-9-9 in some cases.

It depends on the model, the xtreem dark ones are really really good.

if you buy the generic ones (withou heatspreader or the grey one) are just cheap memory as all the other cheap memory from other manufacturers.
