GTX 570 overclocking thread

Didn't see one of those so I figured I'll start my own. What kind of overclocks is everyone pulling with these cards? Post up your brand/model, overclocks, voltage, and how stable it is.

I just got my vanilla EVGA card in and I'm pushing 4550mhz ram in Crysis bench. Still haven't touched the core and I might not be maxed on the ram either. So far my ram is higher than all but one review I have seen. Saw a few people here can hardly crack 4000mhz. This seems abnormally good. Watch my core suck at a result

Crysis stable and 100% stable are two different things. Try running OCCT and checking for errors. The ram chips and the core are different so YMMV.

At only 1080p tho.. Overclocking the memory nets next to no gains.. Run the benches yourself..

I got 1 ghz runs on my 570 the other night. On the STOCK cooler

Wow, my mem would freak out if it was higher than 2097 exact. For some reason though I had mixed results with my card. At times, clocks looked great, I could do my runs and tests for a while with no sign of of an unstable OC then out of no where it'll become unstable and tests results in a black screen and a reset of the GPU clocks.

Doesn't show artifacts in OC Scanner for a good 1hr and did loops after loops on Crysis and Crysis Warhead and nothing, no artifacts.

The clocks I used for a very long time before it crapped out was 900/2097:

To test rock stability I let it sit during the heaven benchmark for a good 4hrs then out of nowhere, unstable and stability is lost for clocks I thought were stable.

Now I was thinking that the card has a relativity low OCP or something because no matter what I did I couldn't get it stable unless it was stock voltage at times after it would reset GPU clocks. I have no idea why it was so difficult with this card. It pissed me off so much it's en route back to where I purchased and hopefully I get a refund.

What I did was an avg of 10 loops of Ambush on Crysis Warhead since a lot of times whenever I am testing a clock and I don't crash or artifact in Furmark or some other tester, I will in Crysis and every single time, so it's been my primary tester.

Some runs:

Warhead 875/2000

Warhead 875/2097

Warhead 900/2097

Crysis island fly-through

Unigine Heaven 2.1 900/2097

Unigine Heaven 2.1 900/2097 w/ 4xAA and 16xAF

Along with those I used 3DMark11 to even test clocks and not once could I see a sliver of instability... unless when it decided of course. Strangest thing though was with 3DMark11 it kept telling me:

Your result has the following problem(s) and will not be shown for example on leaderboards: Graphics card is not recognized, Graphics driver is not approved

and Generic VGA display. No idea why even when I have "Scan System" check in the options.

P6293 3DMarks

Great card, but I've decided I'll wait another generation and I'm not touching dual GPU setups for a looooooong time.

stock voltage: 800/2300
1.025V: 850/2300

Looks like 900mhz @ 1.1v seems to be pretty common...

I play games, not OCCT. Not to mention OCCT is absurd. My 4850s locked up instantly running that but never once crashed in game. And with my 5770s I could run higher clocks in furmark than I could Crysis, go figure

Yeah I knew they wouldn't make much a difference, but I'm not going to just leave something stock...

Oh and I saw your 1ghz run a few days ago. I remember when I to used to freeze to death in the winter in pursuit of a higher 3dmark score. Good times

I'm still a noob at overclocking, I wouldn't dare try 1000 core. Doesn't your card die faster because of overclocking that much?

You should try running Heaven with my settings. I want to see if I'm running the same as other people.

nice! i was looking for one of these threads!

just got my gtx570 and i got a crappy clocker...it pretty much refuses to do anything over 850 core....its an evga gtx570 superclocked

stock clocks are 797/1594/1950 @ 1050v

I didnt want to crank the voltage crazy high, so i settled on 850/1700/2000 @ 1063 as my oc..anyhting above 850 needed 1088-1100v so to me its not worth it

temps are AMAZING..in a 67f room, with a custom afterburner fan profile, the card doesnt go over 63c in oc scanner run of 20 minutes! my 470 would have caught fire in the same runs lol...

anyway, here are my oc'd heaven and 3dm11 bench scores (850/1700/2000 @ 1063v):

Heaven
FPS: 59
Score: 1486
Min: 22.7
Max: 132.9

3DM11
Overall: 5678
Graphics: 5590

How do my scores look?

850/2300 at only 1025v???? ***?? I am SERIOUSLY considering returning my card...

Its not the clock that will kill it, Its the voltage and temperature.
Also how long its exposed to each of those things as well...
For short periods, and at reasonable temps , you shouldn't hurt anything.
