Hi guys,

I just got an asus gtx570 dcII, What is the best utility to overclock it? I went from an msi 560ti and loved afterburner but seems like it wont adjust voltage on my card.

Anything I should know, seems like 850-900 is the mhz to get? I just hope I dont regret not getting the msi version instead, I just kinda went with the asus because it seemed they put more thought into the board layout...

The asus software seems to really lack, all i got was that doctor program (seems very weak) and their screen capture stuff.

I've got four Zotac GTX 570 (non amp) in 2 boxes (2500k/2600k). Just flashed the modded evga bios to unlock fan and volts. I've fried one of these in the past when running it over 900mhz at >1v, but it's been replaced. When Ivy Bridge is released I'm gonna pick up either the UD7 or ROG mobo and was wondering if it's worth doing triple or quad SLI with GTX 570's. Is quad supported?

I believe only triple unless there is some modded bios

i5 2500k and i72600k use same motherboard and same ram, both on SSD arrays. All gpus set to 1.063v 850 core 2000 memory. Using afterburner, two points on fan grid 30%@20C/100%@65C. results of default performance settings in 3dmark11:

i5 2500k@5ghz - P11231
Graphics 12500/Physics 8758/Combined 8396
GT1 54.91/GT2 57.81/GT3 80.37/GT4 39.00/PT 27.80/CT 39.05
max temps GPU1 66C/GPU2 77C

i7 2600k@4.6ghz - P11532
Graphics 12307/Physics 10218/Combined 9016
GT1 54.37/GT2 56.75/GT3 78.98/GT4 38.35/PT 32.44/CT 41.94
max temps GPU1 62C/GPU2 60C

The i5 2500k also has 4 Seagate Cheetah 146GB SAS drives with an LSI PCIE HBA in the bottom slot so it runs a little warmer. I noticed the Graphics score is higher on the i5. I'm guessing this is from the extra 400mhz on the cpu. Thoughts?

edit - update

Just cranked all fans on the i5 to max for another run and gpu2 is 17C lower than before:

i5 2500k@5ghz - P11250
Graphics 12529/Physics 8768/Combined 8393
GT1 55.10/GT2 57.94/GT3 80.40/GT4 39.09/PT 27.84/CT 39.04
max temps GPU1 65C/GPU2 59C (UltraKaze3k bottom intake FTW)

Try the beta version under proporties\\general tab, you will see tick boxes for voltage control.

How did you flash the BIOS

used nvflash with a modded bios

Use at your own risk. I don't remember where I got this. I think I made it with a tool to download and flash firmware. Pretty sure I was following a guide on some site. In any case, that's the bios I had flashed on the Zotac GTX 570 I fried. I knew the bios unlocked the fan speeds and the voltage, got bored and decided to overclock the cards a little. 850mhz SLI is nice.

Getting my gtx 570 tomorrow so i have a set of quick question for u guys!

Max safe Voltage, clocks and temp?

What do u use to test the stability of the OC?

And one more thing... i had a gtx 560ti and i could control the fans from MSi afterburner. But reading this post made me conclude that i need to flas a bios to be able to do so o this card...am i right?

Btw. it s this card. It s A3 revision....maybe it has 6+1 VRM phases..will check when it gets here tomorrow.

I used NVIDIA Inspector and I can change the voltages.
