GTX 570 overclocking thread - Page 128

Im at 850/2050 @ 1.063 V - max temp. 64 C

Will let the card on these settings for a while since it s a brand new card...i read somewhere that it s not good to OC out of the box. Something that a card needs time to "burn in"...

In a week or so ill try it higher.

Good choice but mind you, mine died within a month and I never went past 1125 mV with MSI Afterburner (no BIOS mod or anything like that)!
I was probably just unlucky with mine. At least I hope so!

By the way, with whom are you dealing with?
I bought mine from Scan.co.uk. It's £270 there and Scan.co.uk always have awesome service. I posted mine to them for RMA yesterday so I'm hoping for a replacement soon.

You did it wrong ...

I can bench both my DCII with 1.2v, bios moded for 1.2 instead of 1.1 max stock.

As for your card dieing, its a game of luck. Ive seens tons of GTX5xx dieing, not only Asus.

I tend to like Asus cause they all have good heatsink on VRMs and this is what i need to bench with high clocks/volts.

+ the 570 DCII have way more Phase than a referance GTX570, wich may die faster if ran with High OC.

I love the "you did it wrong", hahaha, as if there was a way to do it wrong with something as simple as MSI Afterburner with no BIOS modding!

I'm really glad yours work well - gives me more confidence in my RMA replacement. I agree loads of GTX 570s have died. It's good Asus' build quality tends to be brilliant and that this is non-reference as well.

Using Fermivolts do you just alter the top setting or do you include setting 2 and 3 to raise the voltage to 1.2?

I'm now in a dilemma guys.

Although my RMA request was accepted I didn't want to be defeated by this card so I've been trying to get it stable.

I've upped the voltage to 1.12 and that seems to have done the trick. Not only could I run 3DMark11 and Heaven Benchmark at stock clocks it's also stable when I've pushed the overclock even further.

At the moment I've got this far -

Do I keep going and see how far I can get on these volts or should I continue with the RMA and send it back for another card? The RMA is valid for 28 days so a big part of me is thinking that I might as well try the card for a week or even two and then I've still plenty of time to send it back if I want.

Is 1.12 a safe 24/7 voltage on this card? At the moment temps are maxing out at 56c under full load which I guess is absolutely nothing for a GPU.
