To all----
Hi guys, Looks like I am good at 895mhz as low as 1075mv, would it just be better to run it at 1100mv to be safe or try it at that and if no crahes im good? I dont want to cause damage by not having enough voltage either lol I have been playing at 875mhz and 2200mhz memory at 1088mv for safety sake.

Any thoughts of damage due to gaming with the memory excessivly overclocked? Im currently at 2200mhz with msi afterburner (4400 in other tools), I have been able to play at 2250 for a match on bf3 before I decided to lower it again, In heaven raising the ram the 50mhz was about equal to a 30mhz increase in the gpu, but in gaming is higher gpu desired over the memory clock? Or is heaven 2.5 a good real world bench for games like bf3 and crysis 2 which i play often

Thanks

Dont go too high on the memory OC cause it can fry ur card...

and btw. memory OC just gets u more maximum FPS while GPU core OC gives u higher minimum FPS. and while playing games u dont see a difference between 56 and 65 fps but u do see it between 20 and 35 fps, right?
hope i helped...

Well i'm gonna cherp in with my entry, i'm at work now but i left my machine overnight and this morning burn in furmark @ 1024 the clocks were 850/2100 and it was fine, 65c max core temp,

Raised the V from 0.988 to 1.000 and i'm testing 900/2100 as we speak, oh i have the new non-reference EVGA 570 HD (they're freeking tiny! about 2/3rd the size of my GTX285's!) - Was told they are better oc's than their counterparts.

Will get my screens up tonight.

I'm not sure if its just me or my cards are not needing hardly any more Vcore to get higher? would this be concerning?

I had a few hours playing BF3 @ 900/2000 with .988? have i landed a couple of golden boys?

Well I have officially given up on these cards with overclocking.. I can't get the phantom stable for the life of me.. And it requires to much volts for the smallest of O/C..

I can't even run the card at 760mhz at stock voltage, that's only a 10mhz increase.. Kinda sad I got such a bad performer..

Sadly this can often be the case with pre-oc cards, they are already at their limits, Hence i've never got a pre-oc card, always had better luck with the reference or vanilla ones.

Same happened with my PALIT <-- cheapest maker GTX285's i was getting WAY better overclocks than my friend with the EVGA Classified versions!

But again, every card is not equal..

The thing is, It's not a pre-overclocked card lol.. Phantom is 750mhz Core from factory, It's the Gainward GTX570 GLH That's the factory O/C version..

I can run the GTX570 GLH at 900mhz at 1.05v..

If you can play battlefield at those speeds
My card won't do 800/1900 at 1.03 for BF3

Thanks, what do you think the safe max is? The asus gtx570 dcII I believe comes with samsung memory though.

Im officially jealous lol Luckily Im super cool with the 1100mv I need for 900mhz

-------------
So I was lowering voltage to the min. it would run 875mhz at and I crashed on heaven 2.5, now its crashing at the same spot very often at levels I played BF3 at for hours. I can even play bf3 right after a crash with the specs it crashed heaven at and not have any issues, does this seem like a heaven 2.5 issue or driver issue? I reinstalled heaven, and nvidia driver and it fixed until I was pushing my overclock into the 915mhz range at 1088mv. Now im back with the same issue.

Whats the best way to remove nvidia drivers? I have just been installing on top of the same driver choosing the advanced clean install option. I am currently on 285.62

thanks

I don't know much about the safe voltages for memory on gtx 570 since i haven't fried single one yet...this is my first gtx 570
I guess u should just keep memory under 2300 mhz.

Ant that crashing at previously stable OC you are taking about... i have to ask how old is the card?
I think that new cards need some time to "burn in" to get the more realistic sense of OC ability... thats why some factory OC cards become unstable at stock settings.
So if u have a brand new card that could be the issue...
Also, not every game/benchmark stresses the card the same...
Thats why u should use more than one test on a GPU..if it passes them all than u can call it stable.

I was averaging 10 fps even overclocked! Your suggestion brought me up 35.8 average. Strangely, I can't run Heaven if I OC the gpu now! Anyway, I managed to OC my q6600 up to 3.2 (a miracle with mine) and BF3 MP depends on CPU more than the GPU vs SP which is the opposite. My core temps peaked at 72c when I ran Heaven, which is scary as hell. Thought I had the cooling under control. I'm too poor to buy good hardware now.

As far as I know, BF3 Is not highly CPU dependent, It relies more on the GPU's.

My Fps doesn't change from 3.06ghz - 4.2ghz

Although, When I OC my cards, I get a better minimum FPS.

Not like I can even get my cards stable anymore :\\
