GTX 570 overclocking thread - Page 140

Seems i have a really decent 570!

1.05v - 900 mhz core - 2200 memory - BF3 stable!

Using a custom fanprofile that keeps the card below 70C.

I have been tempted to watercool my card but will that help protect my vrm's? I'm pretty certain i'm not at the limit of my card but if it blows up when i feed it 1.1V i won't be happy smile.gif

Man you guys are lucky. I cant get mine stable at 850/2000/1.063v and you guys are getting higher clocks with less power.

lol yup there are some lucky ones, Im happy with mine though, I was doing 875 at 1088mv a while but backed down to 800 and 1050mv. BF3 plays pretty good even at asus stock 743mhz

What speed you have in memory @ 1050mv?

Everyone that can run Battlefield with an overclock is lucky. I can't run mine at anything over 800mhz, even though 900 and 920 have been stable in every other game. But, it's not like I need more than 800mhz in Battlefield because if I put everything on Ultra the game crashes in 3-5 seconds. Consider yourself very lucky from a disappointed buyer of a game that he can't fully enjoy :-/

I have been going back and forth with 1900 and 2000, Max I tried was 2200 and did fine but some were saying its not worth risking overclocking the memory that high, not knowing if its fact or fiction I went down. Honestly I dont see a difference visually.

What other DX11 games or programs have you tested with? I use unigine Heaven since its alot faster to start than a game. But it should either be a pretty common theme across DX11 games or your just really unlucky. I dont have any personal friends that cant on various 400 and 500 series nvidia's.

Question is are you adding any voltage? You will need to on almost every card out there to go past 800 maybe 850. My card will do 850 875 in folding or dx9 but it is not DX11 stable without voltage. Things like tesselation will show you this real quick.

Hi. i was wondering if i can edit my GTX570 DCUii bios so that i can overvolt further than my current limit of 1.125V.

My current overclock is 940/1840/2025 at 1.125V, here is a Heaven Benchmark maxed screenshot of the performance. which is roughly 8FPS more than its stock FPS at extreme settings with Vsync.
450

Very good performance boost in games like Battlefield 3 and Metro 2033.

Coming from an Nvidia noob, can anyone explain why the core and shader clocks are locked together and what does the shader clock do?

Is there going to be any shortening of my card life running it at higher voltages? The ASUS DCUii has a heatsink with thermal pad directly below one of the fans on the VRMs so that should keep them cool.It also has 8 phase power which i heard is better than the 6 phase on reference cards.
450

Also, how can I monitor the VRM temps like on my ATI cards. The reason my old HD5850 died was because of the VRMs. Im fairly confident the VRMs on this card are high quality, well cooled and thus should handle up to 1.2V, which is my target voltage that I think is necessary for the 1000MHZ+ I want to reach on the core.

I will be using MSI Afterburner to overclock because I find it easier to use than ASUS GPU Tweak. ASUS SmartDoctor doesnt detect an ASUS card for me, and I dont have a CD drive to install the SmartDoctor that came on the CD which ive heard is best for my card. The voltage limit on both GPU Tweak and MSI Afterburner is 1.125V. A Max Voltage of 1.2V would be great!

Please help!

Nice 940 isnt bad at all! I dont know if mine can do more than 920 at that voltage. There is a way to mod the bios, someone here used an nvidia tool for 1.2v. Im just not familiar at all with it.

Mind running heaven (was that 2.5 right?) with just the regular settings it normally has? Im curious how that compares to my 900mhz, next time im on my desktop im going to try it on extreme. Also assuming your on 1080 smile.gif
