Not sure if im gonna go any higher with the voltage, going to run some more stress testing since 1.025v gave a few errors.

Oh I hate reading in here for seeing such good overclocking card haha, I cant complain though, 890/1780/2200 @ 1100mv isnt HORRIBLE but dang you guys have good cards. 930 crashes at 1125mv on bf3 ultra

Hey everybody, I have a couple questions/issues I'm hoping someone can help with.
I just got my RMA EVGA GTX 570SC, and it is running fine. Got to overclocking it right away. I wanted to see how far of an oc I could get w/ it before it started artifacting/crashing during stress testing. Right now it is set at 840/1680/1975. I passed 20 minutes on EVGA Precision and OCCT stress tests w/o artifacts or crashing. Then I tried 3DMark11 on Extreme setting. After about 5 seconds the driver crashed and the program was shut down. WTH??? Why did it pass to stress tests and crash on the 3DMark11?
Also... I have GPU-Z open to keep track of the clocks that are going on. After the driver crash GPU-Z was reporting that the clocks had reverted to stock, but they still showed the oc setting in OC Precision. Why is that? And, whenever I shut the machine down and boot back up the clocks revert to stock. I want my OC to STAY. How? Thanks.

3DMark11 can be very fussy if you've got GPU-Z (or other monitoring/OC tools) open in the background.

Try 3DMark11 again without anything running in the background and see if the driver crashes this time.

Thanks for this; will try after work today.
I should point out that I'm trying to get as good of an OC as I can w/o upping the voltage. My previous EVGA reference 570SC gave up the ghost, and I'm convinced it was from overvolting, and I didn't even get close to the 1.1V maximum. The VRM's just spit their guts out. Don't want that happening again.

I got my PNY GTX 570 to 900/2200 @ 1.1v, but I have some questions before I commit to it.
I ran an hour of OCCT with shader complexity on 8 and got 17 errors. Should I lower my clocks until there's 0 errors, or will it be fine for gaming? When I tested an hour with GPU Tool before on 1.075v there were 0 errors.

This is from a test with OCCT:
330

There's a difference between the set voltage in MSI Afterburner and the reported voltage in GPU-Z, what exactly does this mean?

I've heard that running at 1.1v can be unsafe, should I be worried? GPU-Z doesn't even report it going up to 1.1v so I'm not really sure what I should follow.

Edit:

I've been doing some testing with MSI Kombustor 2.2 and found some interesting results.
In every test running at 900/2200 with 1.1v had a few fps decrease over 1.075v. I haven't done a long test with 1.075v in OCCT, but for the short time that I did it had a similar number of errors as 1.1v.
The other odd thing was that in the tessellation tests the standard clocks performed better than the OC, but the OC performed better in the combined test.

I'm also worried about the card's performance overall. When I tested with 3DMark11 with the standard settings on the card, the score was way lower than it should be for the card. I just tested again with the OC and it was still below the target score for standard clocks.
Standard clocks (732/1900 0.975v)
OC (900/2200 1.1v)
Any ideas what the problem is and if it's fixable?

@ .Griff.

My best guess is to back down on memory OC...sounds to me like a memory related issue...

I have been wondering this as well, is it recommended to use 1.1V for 24/7 usage or should I stay below it?

WOW, You guys got awesome results, what about my results? biggrin.gif

I cant push the core clock more than 800mhz because it gets unstable in heaven benchmark 2.5.
I tried to tweak the voltage but afterburner doesnt let me to do that, when i click on apply button it changes back to +0 original voltage. How you guys managed to tweak your voltage in Afterburner really?
I also changed the values in .cfg file but still doesnt work. any ideas?
Thanks.

Make sure you unlock voltage control in the settings.

If your card's pcb is designed after the reference board, then it's using a 4 phase PWM, and I would not run it at 1.100v
