alright so ive played with it a bit this is where im at now stock 1013mV with 870/1740 1900 hitting a score of 1702 on heaven in 1080, temps hit 55 and fps was 154.3

do i run AA on or off? if on at what multiplier

keep going? stop? thx ocn!

edit: i just ran it at 1013 889/1778 1900 and my score went down to 1700 temps were same and 152.4fps, is that a sign that ive hit max oc on stock voltage?

Hi AJ,
Once you start getting errors in the benchmark. or system crash is usually the sign you have maxed out that particular voltage. At that point bump up the voltage and start from the crash point. Read through this THREAD for some good tips on all things Nvidia. Good luck...biggrin.gif

Got my gtx 570 twin frozr iii yesterday, and tried to overclock for the first time. Not sitting at my computer right now, I believe my OC was something along the lines of: 900/2000 @0,920 voltage. I think I used HWmonitor or something to see my GPU voltage, because I don't know how to see it in Afterburner. Afterburner only shows (+0) at the Voltage line, and I yanked that up to +12. My temps idle at around 35 and haven't seen it go above 55 while in heaven/furmark.
Is that a decent OC? Are the temps okay for daily use? And is there a way to show the exact voltage in Afterburner.

If that overclock truly is stable, you have gotten yourself a NICE card mate! I'm pushing 1.075v to run 900mHz (+100 on the slider).
There is a way to see the correct voltage in Afterburner, Settings --> Monitoring --> Graph (scroll down in this tab and place a checkmark at GPU Voltage). Now there should be an extra graph located at the bottom of all the other graph on the Afterburner Hardware Monitor tab thumb.gif
The temps are definitely okay, I like to keep my cards below 70C and them I'm happy.

For how long did you run Heaven and Furmark? And could you run a 3DMark11 test as well biggrin.gif?
And finally, please fill in your rig using the Rig builder so we can all see the hardware you're currently using.

PS: What 570 do you have? And sorry for all the questions rolleyes.gif

Thanks, I can see the voltage now! I ran Heaven like 2-3 times in the benchmark thing with 26 steps, I didn't touch the settings in the options screen, and I just clicked the 15 min burn test in Furmark, the highest temps were about 58-60. I haven't downloaded 3Dmark11, but I'll do that once I get home. As you can probably tell I'm pretty new here so haven't gotten around to filling out the Rig Builder thing, but I'll go ahead and do that now! Oh, and my 570 is a Twin Frozr III.

I'd just like to bump to let people know about a folding competition between OCN and the other top folding forum's teams, called the Chimp Challenge. More information can be found in my sig including information about this competition, general folding questions (Folding essential threads) and a quick and easy setup for folding (FOLDING).

Let me know if you have any questions or need any help regarding your cards or folding. smile.gif

Hopefully I'll get a card from rma that can handle more voltage........although I was surprised that 1.025 volts killed it after only a few months.

I've been running at 1.025 for 5 months, now i'm worried biggrin.gif

add me to the list? =)

i'v overclocked my card to 950/2300 1.175v stock cooler

PROOF
338

afterburner says max 68 because i forgot and left the fan on low tongue.gif
the voltage usually drops to ~1.15v under load (vdroop)
but it's been stable through 3 or 4 loops of unigine heaven

my bench results:
338

on stock cooler, vanilla, would u guys say the voltage is too high? my highest temps on heaven are 64c, ambient temp ~25c
when i lowered my voltage to 1.163, (vdroop ~1.14) it crashed after about 3 minutes

The list hasn't been updated for a year, but that is an amazing overclock. I ran your overclock for a couple seconds on my card, but it crashed on EVGA OC Scanner. It was the weirdest crash too, a light blue screen and I had to hold the power button to turn it off.
