to start, kno that you won't be able to overclock your dual cards quite as high as a single card.
however as you're aware of, the trade-off for overclock-ability vs performance is well worth it.
that said, this sounds like a psu problem to me.
ur sig says 900w, how long hav you had it? it may be getting old.

however if it's not psu problem, it may be a stability issue with other parts.
what other components do you have overclocked?
and did you hav a previous stable overclock for your setup before your try at 900?
if you had a stable clock before, i would suggest you start from there and incrementally increase core and voltage.
let me kno how it goes and GL! thumb.gif

haha aight, your first problem is old psu.
that may (or may not) be feeding unclean energy to your vid card.

but if that's not the problem, i'll just give you a quick walkthrough of what i would do.

1. download nvidia driver 275.33 instead, 5 minutes googling says it will be more stable than a beta driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/win7-winvista-64bit-275.33-whql-driver.html
this link is for the 64 bit, just look up 32 bit if you have a 32 bit system.

2. uninstall current drivers (and msi afterburner),
restart computer (you may need to restart multiple times to fully uninstall nvidia drivers)
3. once you have a clean restart, install 275.33
**use clean install**
restart,
4. install afterburner.
5. try again at overclocking.

just for your reference, my 570 was able to run 850 core on 1.1v
more voltage is not always better for overclocking,
on the contrary, it will cause instability just as much as not having enough voltage will.
so running 750mhz with 1.1v will definitely cause crashing.

GL keep me posted mate! thumb.gif shoot me a pm if you need any help biggrin.gif

thanks for my first rep biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

1, no problem!

2, ok that sounds good!
generally 850 mhz is a good overclock for a 570. this should work: 800/1600/2200/1.1v
some ppl push for 900, but that needs like 1.15v, which makes the card tooooo hot!

3, alright, i would go with corsair if possible, just because of their reliability.
however they can be a tad more expensive than other psu's. i would recommend these
http://www.amazon.de/Corsair-CMPSU-850TXV2EU-Netzteil-850W/dp/B004OKZP4S/ref=sr_1_14?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1344981600&sr=1-14
http://www.amazon.de/Corsair-CMPSU-750TXV2EU-Netzteil-750W/dp/B004NRTTFS/ref=sr_1_2?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1344981600&sr=1-2
both will work very will with a single 570. if you plan to go sli, i would recommend something closer to a 1000 watt.

4, i would not bother going through that entire process unless you really wanted to.
however the first 8 steps were exactly what i would recommend.
the rest of those steps would probably be overkill.
i wouldn't try those unless you're desperate to remove every last trace of your drivers.

A Picture says more than Thousand Words !

Moved it around an not getting any errors !!!!!!!!!!

So lets test BF 3 ! HEHE !

Ah there's somethin to say !
I love my Enermax ! 5 Years of POWER !

Ok if i'm making OC on the GPU it's recommended using a WHQL Driver ! Right ?

Is the Driver u posted before the best for OC or is there a chance to use a newer one optimized for BF 3 ?

The one Thing i know my GPU is stable in BF3 @ stock running 1.025v ! And thats caused by the newer 300drivers !With 296.10 i need 1.013 !

ALRIGHT! congratulations mate! biggrin.gif

glad the problem wasn't your psu!

um did you find a driver that is not whql? (btw i don't quite know what whql is lol)

and the driver i posted is currently the most stable i know of,
but u could probably download a newer driver, such as 301.24, which i believe supports FXAA
i would not, however, download a beta driver. just my personal preference. biggrinsmiley.gif

ok well what you would need to choose between is:

1 newer driver, a slightly more optimized bf3, and possibly FXAA
2 stable driver, slightly less optimized bf3, less likelyhood of crashing with an OC

so if you wish to overclock (which is tons of fun) then i would recommend sticking with the 275.33
if you don't plan on overclocking, then go with 301.24.

congrats again on your successful stress test and gameplay! thumb.gif

Hi m8 !

WHQL = Windows Hardware Quality Labs= http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WHQL_Testing

Now i'm on 296.10 which has also FXAA included.
With the 275.33 BF3 gives me a message to upgrade to a newer one which i did !
Just testing 296.10 762/1524/1900 @ 1.025 v !

btw found a good how to :

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/340669-15-omgitzfatal-graphics-card-overclocking-guide

Currently testing : 782/1564/950@ 1.050v

Question: Is it normally that when i run OCCT 3D ,and after that running 3dmark11 ,then 3dmark gives me error or the driver has stopped responding !

ah so pretty much "microsoft tested and approved"? lol tongue.gif

alright! looking good! thumb.gif

well that usually happens when your overclock..
1 is too high (which is not the case here)
2 doesn't have enough voltage (may be the case here)
don't worry, there's nothing wrong with your driver. you just need to find the sweet spot for your card.

if your willing to try, set your voltage to 1.1v and your clock to 850 core 2200 mem.
that clock worked very well for my vanilla 570, and it got me a few more fps.
your temps shouldn't get too high as long as you have a custom fan profile set.
benchmark and set the fans to 100% to see how high your temps go under load.

but if your temps get too high and if you're feeling REALLY adventurous,
http://www.overclock.net/t/1203528/official-nvidia-gpu-mod-club-aka-the-mod
you might find this interesting. biggrin.gif

So this is a post mortem. My MSI GTX 570 Twin Frozr II/OC is not among us any longer. It died under tragic circumstances after a year and a half of usage. I had overclocked it in Afterburner to 850/2100 and it was rock stable at 1.063V. Used it with those settings for probably about a year. Then, about a month before it died, I decided I want to push the oc a little further, went to 875 on the core and it needed 1.088V to be stable. Temps never rose above 75C under the heaviest of loads. On a hot summer day while playing The Secret World for not even an hour, the AC running in the background, my PC shut down completely, out of nowhere. Rebooted, relaunched the game and it shut down again during loading. Rebooted again, launched Skyrim, shut down after3 minutes of play time. And that is when I smelled burned electronics. Opened my case, gave the card a whiff, and that was it. RMA'd.
Selling my replacement now, couldn't wait 3 weeks cos I need my PC for work, so now I have an MSI GTX670 Twin Frozr IV PE/OC edition. (Which is actually slightly bottlenecked by my overclocked 1090T @ 3.8GHz on a Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 with 8GB of GSkill 1600MHz Ram, so time for a Vishera upgrade and 1866MHz Ram in October.)
