GTX 570 overclocking thread - Page 191

I saw someone post the exact same issue a while back in this thread, and my own temps go up in idle as well. So I wouldn't worry.
Look at it this way, it compares to you having to carry 2 stuffed grocery bags instead of just 1 tongue.gif

However, since using the 2nd montor I noticed that my idle is now constantly at 44-46 celcius, the load temps being the same as before. I'm just wondering if this is normal, and also it should probably be noted that the 2nd monitor is not the same resolution as my main monitor.
Thanks in advance!

Probably normal. Honestly, since the second monitor is a different res, it is (by my logical thinking on how these things work) having to process the picture. Effectively, your extra monitor adds a bit of work to what it has to do. The load temps are probably the same, because you are already running at max, so it won't do any more work than what the clock speed limits it to.

Using EVGA Precision X on my GPU, I have got up to 835 core and 2000 memory at stock voltage. Here is the log file for the 2 hour stress run.
I plan to see how far I can get on stock voltage.
