Could you check what your memory usage is? If you are filling up your graphics memory that would slow your rig down a lot

It's an i7-950 oc'd to 4.0ghz.

I am sure that it is at the full 1280mb available, but other folks on here have also had memory at 100% and still gotten higher scores. Hopefully someone can chime in with a suggestion for a fix.

732 MHz core, 1900 MHz memory at 1v I believe.

Hi everyone

Iv been OC'ing my 570 TF 3 PE (89.8% ASIC) using its stock cooler and managed to reach Core: 1000Mhz , Shader: 2000Mhz , Mem 2045Mhz (4090Mhz effective).

Iv had to max out the voltages to get it stable in Heaven 4.0 my issue is that if I push the Mem to 2050Mhz Or the Core to 1005Mhz Heaven crashes (black screen) and Windows (7 x64) reports the "Driver has failed".

My Q's are:

1) Is anyone else having OC issue's with the latest non Beta driver ?
2) Does anyone know how I can identify the make of the GDDR (apparently is will either be Samsung or Hynix) as I want to downclock the Core and increase the RAM to find where my OC / FPS sweetspot is, as Iv found that raising the Mem from stock to 2045 with the Core @ 1Ghz , practically doubled my lowest FPS in all my tests / games.
3) What TIM is used on these cards as I am thinking of re-doing it.
4) Is it possible to cool the VRM's and GDDR which have thermal pads with better thermal pads / low profile heatsinks with out changing the FT3 cooler all together?

souljakz - depending on your particular GTX570 - you may find slightly lower core and higher memory clock would give better performance smile.gif it did for me

see great article here

http://hw-lab.com/geforce-gtx-570-memory-overclocking.html

my 2 daily overclocks are now as follows:

Low Power: 900 and 2200 on memory: 1.0V

Performance: 960 and 2370 on memory: 1.075V

the Low Power overclock is great performance for little heat smile.gif in games @ 50C

From my OC above Im now running Core 990 / shader 1980 / Mem 2150 (4300 effective) trying for the 5Ghz that the GDDR is rated for, so far my Heavan 4.0 bench has gone form 65FPS (max) to 88.9 but the min FPS seems to have hit a delta / bottleneck.

Might just dump the cooler and force a Corsair H100i on there, as it will allow me to fit additional cooling on the VRM and GDDR.

Thanx for the link, MUUUCH appreciated will check it out tonight.

Definitely yes, though GTX570 reference cooler isn't the best one and it will get very loud when fan starts speeding up. So you should start overclocking at stock voltages first.
Just to be safe with the temps and that fan noise stays at the tolerable level.
