also, does stock VID even matter? i mean, .95v is a good VID and if VID mattered i dont see why he cant get up to 900 at least

my stock VID is 1.012v and i'm folding/gaming at 935mhz and benching at 950mhz
Lower VID should in theory mean better bin... at least for Intel CPUs

Sorry didn't see that you wrote 1v on 850. That is atleast something. 850 is a nice 24/7 setting anyway...
Jumped the gun on 1v being enough for 850. Actually 1.025 isn't enough either.

Lucky. Soon as I bump up to 910mhz I get artifacts in OC Scanner.

Check out my Overclock log via the link in my signature. Should provide some information on how you go about doing it mate.
The overclock log is a great starting point. Thanks man.

i see a lot of u overclocked ur gtx 570 to 900/1800/ @ 1.1V, so is it safe for 24/7 usage?
i've been doing 920-950mhz 1.1v 24/7 on my gtx570 for the past few weeks, just dont go crazy on the memory oc and i think it should be fine

i love it so much i got another one on the way lol

850/1700/2100 @ 1.063v is my sweet spot.
<68C @80% fan speed under full load playing BC2 on max settings. 80+fps.
I wear headphones when I play, so the fan noise is silenced.

haha nice sli.

i got it stable at 875/1750/2000 @ 1.075, but i don't know if it's safe for 24/7, and i'd like to hear u guys opinions. i mainly play sc2, bfbc2 vietnam, tf2, css
post #330 of 2146
Do you all run your overclocks 24/7? I only load up my overclock profile before I start gaming and reload my saved stock profile when I'm not. Like I said before I am really new to overclocking but I assume if I am running 850/1700/2050 @ 1.025v, that the 1.025v is what its taking at load and not when it drops back to idle? My stock voltage is
0.975,is an increase of 0.05v going to burn out my card faster? That seems a very minor change compared to what people add to heavy OC processors.
