My stock voltage is
0.975,is an increase of 0.05v going to burn out my card faster? That seems a very minor change compared to what people add to heavy OC processors.
I'll take two questions in one go.

It doesn't really matter if your overclock is applied 24/7. When the card is idle it automatically clocks down to way lower clocks and voltage, and only bumps it up when needed. Therefore, if you're stable (OC Scanner / Crysis loops etc), then you should be good to go for 24/7 usage.

The extra 0.05 voltage you shouldn't worry about to be honest. Because, as you pointed out yourself, it is a very minor change.

My stable everyday overclock is shown below. My memory can be tested a lot higher but not worth the risk for the marginal performance increase.

Are you using H20 for cooling system? Very good temp there with 46% fan speed on maximum GPU usage.

I'm on water using EK-FC580 GTX - Acetal+Nickel so the fan usage graph is useless =P. Max temp with the block in my loop is 47-48 C. The clock you guys are looking at is 950/1900/2050 look at the MSI Afterburner easier to see there . Figured out how to upload higher resolution on photobucket =x, here it is:

Ok, finally got my GTX570. Within an hour I clocked it to a conservative but good 825/2000 (shader linked: 1650) at 1.013 volts.

As the screenshot indicates I did a Crysis bench (36 completed runs I see in the log), then I multitasked straight out to MSI afterburner, chose a recent point and made a screenshot. Didnt get above 79 degrees Celsius at 63% fan (custom profile, max 65%), which actually is better than the stock clocks and fan profile (showed about 85 after a long session of Crysis). Edit: Average FPS landed at about 56,5. At anything less than 1.013 volts the app just hung and driver was reinitialized.

The temps will probably rise with about 3-4 degrees when gaming, but I have to say I'm content with this overclock if it holds, particularly because I originally had planned to do only 800 core

Thanks for giving me a starting point guys. Cheers

Thanks man The games I played last night seemed to agree. While the benches I have run also have shown positive results, the games were the real stars last night. Playing high Image Quality games with 60 fps just feels great. Wow, what an incredible card at that price. Cheers.

PS: Only negative thing is that I have to return the WD 2tb disk. Dont know what they are doing these days, as it seems to be too many who experience 2tb hd faults these days.

Glad you got it working Chris!
But still you can do better than that, why not try around 900mhz core? (You probably need some extra volt though) Many 570's do that without a problem
