Memory overclocks have not been netting anyone much gains, I have my 570 at 2004 mhz, which is what a 580 comes stock..
Just keep bumping the speed until it crashes, Then bump the voltage, bump the speed till it crashes, Bump voltage.. And just see how high you can go..

go it, im gonna start now

Oh, and dont jump all they way to the top right away. Do a few runs at lower voltages to be sure the chips handle it well, but I guess they probably will. 1.1 volts seems to be a reasonable limit with stock cooling though, right guys?

Oh, and start with creating a new fan profile. Without raising your fan speeds you will have some hot gpu to try to overclock there smile.gif

I'd think 1.1v with any card wouldn't be too high. 1 fan % for every 1 degree is what I use for my profile. Anything above 1.1v would start to get pretty hot with stock cooling.

Well. Count me as a member of the 850 club guys. Bumped up to 850 from 825 and everything seems to work fine at 1.050 volts after some extensive testing. Its linked so its at 1700 processor clock as well. Actually this gave me a 5-6 fps increase in Crysis bench, giving me an average of 60 fps. Great card indeed. thumb.gif

PS: Dont think I'll mess around with raising the memory clocks further, as most people seem to think that they have very little effect in practice.

Ugh, I wish I took note of the last post when I updated. No idea where to start. I'll sift through it after I get my school work out of the way.

Anyway my new card is a complete heap of crap. For whatever reason it runs hotter/louder at the same voltage/clocks. 850 1.05v on my old card ran low 80c load and low 60% fan speed. This one hits 88c and 70% fan speed. Remounting seems to have made it worse if anything. Considering ebaying it and buying another ATI card.

@1.05v

* Edit should add i usually game @ 850 as occt fps line is completely stable with no variance and the extra 50mhz are unnecessary. But it will game @ 900mhz for hours with no problems or artifacts. Though fps vary at most .5fps @ this oc in occt

Updated the OP.

After half a dozen remounts my "best" one still results in a terrible overclock and temps. 850 1.05v is a no go. 800 1v is also a no go. I really want to pick up a radiator/water block but I feel like sellint this dud for a 6970/6850CF/something else is the more logical thing to do.

Question for everyone that's remounted the stock cooler: how did you spread the paste? Even a huge blob didn't spread out 100%. I got my "best" result so far spreading it by hand, but we all know that results in air bubbles. This whole heat spreader thing sucks...

Hey guys. I have a GTX 570 which I've overclocked, I'm getting 855/1710 2000 on 1.075 v. My question is would anyone here RMA a card like this knowing this is kinda the norm in terms of OCing for the possibility of getting something more OC'able.
