Yeah it never really gets hot. It idles at 30 and rarely will ever hit 70 doing anything.

I have an MSI GTX570.
Is there anyway to have the fan speed less than 40%?
Any easy way without going into risky business of modded bios?

Download MSI Afterburner and lower the fan speed or make a custom fan profile on it. You will always have to have the program running to make it work.

This is the problem i am having, Afterburner will not allow me to lower below 40%, even with a custom fan profile.

I think it depends on the card. Mine lets me go below 40%. Some people have seen different fan speed settings from evga precison and Rivatuner, if MSI Afterburner doesn't help.

It's probably your ASUS BIOS that allows you to go below 40%. I know EVGA has an .exe file you can run on EVGA cards that lowers the minimum from 40% to 30%, but I'm not sure if it works with MSI cards.

EVGA GTX 570 SC @ c950/s1900/m2140 1.1v stock cooling.

Hi Guys i dropped $912 on a GTX 570 SC and a ASUS 3D monitor bundle. i originally left things at stock, but i was doing some tweaks and my finger *accidentally* fell into the fan while @ 100% leaving me no choice to dash back to the store for a return (with some very scrutinizing looks from the sales person). needless to say i got another card and all was well until i learned @ Evga Bucks for F@H. initially i had a 5850 crossfire setup with a auzentech HD home theater and a big foot killer 2100 network card taking up all my slots. anyways well preparing to try to get crossfire + the 570 folding MY FINGER SLIPPED AGAIN! ruining one fin on the 570 cooler (it still runs but it sounds like a cdrom drive warming up ON STEROIDS!) but medusa 5.1 headphones cancel that out. anyways i dont have any benchmarks to post i dont buy into 3d mark / vantage (but there a good way to show gains in overclocking) but i wanted to take part in the 570 over clocking quest for maximal preformance!!!!

Yeah, just bought the Zotac GTX 570 at my local computer place and was wondering what I could expect from it OC wise. Base, Clock: 738mhz, Shader: 1464mhz, Mem: 3800mhz according to the box.

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this model. As it stands I just need my processor before I can put this baby together but I wanted to get a general idea on what I could expect
post #610 of 2146
Well depends on the chip really. I am sure you can get around 900 core though.
Just make a custom fan profile if you are going to use max voltage(1100V).
