As it stands I used MSI Afterburner (and GPU-Z to confirm) that I have my Zotac 570 GTX (stock clock:732/ Shader:1464/ Memory 1900 @.95v)running at 950/1900/2000 @ 1.1v and I have had no temp over 79'c in kombuster. I can push the card higher but I am a tad afraid to since it seemed wayy too easy to hit so I must be missing something.

So in part with how I should test this (about to 3dmark11), am I just lucky or did I mess something up. (Yes I did apply settings, fan is at 70% to keep heat below 80)

Thanks a lot!

Here are some preliminary 3D Mark 11 scores.. I see a huge difference.. I have a low score because my 2500K is still stock (need to redo thermal paste and reseat silver arrow)... Sitting at 84'c under bench marking seems kinda high though.

I hear 95'c is the max you want for a 570 GTX but can I get a confirmed max from anyone here? I would appreciate it!
EDIT: NVIDIA confirmed 97'c so I guess I am fine

I think the best stability is playing a few different games, after it passes a 3dmark11 or vantage. Like bfbc2, or crysis2, metro, ect. I could get good error free runs in vantage, but metro showed artifacts in the benchmark, then I had to reduce the clocks.

If you can game for >2 hours on at least 2 newish games that are demanding without purple squares popping up, ect. Then you're good to go.

I appreciate the quick response. I have a copy of Metro 2033 here that I just never installed.. So I will definitely give it a try tomorrow and post the results.

As it stands I noticed a major jump in temperatures between Kombustor and 3DMark11. Kombustor was a solid 94% usage at 79'C but vantage kicked my temps up to 84'c.. So I hope the temperatures generated by Metro 2033 are below 84'c because any higher than 85 and I am not comfortable (Air conditioning might be impacting my temperatures so I want to have a safe buffer just in case)

ty12004 do you use 1.1v 24/7 on your 570gtx?

I cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong with my card.
I'm using a Asus GTX 570 Direct CU II. Latest 275.33 drivers. I'm OC'ing with MSI Afterburner 2.20 beta 3 and testing with OCCT 3.1.

Basically, on stock voltage, which Afterburner says is 0.975, I somehow manage to get errors to be detected with a whopping huge over clock of 753Mhz Core. Thats right, a 1.5% boost, an entire 11 Mhz, turns my GPU into a *****. Mind you its only a few errors, but I want ZERO. Ok, so I thought, hmm lets boost this voltage up, lets see if that fixes things. I start out high. I push it to 1.1 volts the max I can go. After a few minutes it crashes my computer. It doesn't give me a blue screen, grey screen, any color screen. It appears that the driver crashes, and the entire system halts. I have to hard reset the computer to do anything.

Ok, to make it more clear, I literally left the clocks on STOCK and only changed the voltage and it crashed my computer. Okay I thought, maybe it just cant handle that much voltage, strange. Many hours of testing later, I'm at my wits end.
Every time my computer crashed, I dropped the voltage. Every time I saw an error, even one, I dropped the speed.

I'm gonna copy/paste the worksheet I kept.

Please, this cannot be normal. I'm really upset, someone help me out.

You must have a bad card. I don't see why any normally functioning card wouldn't be able to work after an 11mhz overclock on stock voltage. I have an EVGA and I got the overclock up 68mhz on the core/136mhz shader before I had to increase from the stock voltage. That just seems wierd. I'd exchange it and see if the problems keep happening. Or if you think it's not the card, try going back to an earlier driver version, maybe for some reason the newest one is messing things up.

I have MSI as well and used it to achieve the same overclock, 950/1900, well, almost the same cuz I got my memory up to 2270, at 1.1v. Try uppin' the memory, maybe you can get 2270 as well. But yeah, anyways, I feel the same way. Am I missing something? I also hit a max temp of 79C and I'm wondering if that means that I'm safe? Or is there 'burn-ups' that occur with no warning signs (like showing you high temps first)?

Nah, I just load the profile before I game. Although the speed I hit wasnt as stable as I thought, I tried to rebench this morning while installing metro 2033 and it crashed halfway. So now I am finding a voltage heat good for me then OCing into it.

EDIT:
Dropped my core voltage to 1075mv so my cooling could keep up (I like below 80 while gaming)

After playing Metro 2033 (maxed DX11 @ 1680x1080) for 2 hours at 940/1880/2000 @ 1.075v I hit a top temperature of 77'c and there was not a single noticeable error. So this clock seems stable.. Of course if it fails after time I will just drop it to 925. (I was only expecting 850)

Also, add me to this thread- 900/1800/2101 @ 1.063.

I'll add in 3dmark11 later.

I hope you don't mind that i ''borrow'' that OC hehe

I have a 570 GTX Phantom .. runs great and your settings work just fine . Too bad i'm too lazy to see just how low this card can go in voltages xD.

Thanks again..
