It's all hearsay and guesstimates. My reference card has yet to blow up and always runs 1.2v. It's not a daily card, but it has seen some abuse and ran for hours running benches.

What core o/c & memory o/c settings are needed for stock gtx580 performance on these 570's?

IIRC ~850MHz core, memory is not as important

I got a question that's been buggin' me for a bit, it's holding me back from my upgrade. I have a EVGA 570 HD and recently decided to do SLI. I'm set on a new case and PSU (HAF 932 and Cooler Master M1000 Series 1000w), but I was wondering, would it really be worth, in regards to overclocking, selling the reference EVGA 570 I have now and getting, say, two non-reference Gigabyte SOC's, or, should I just get another EVGA 570 HD? If I do go EVGA, it'll be the reference for $320. If I go Gigabyte SOC, it'll be $365 X 2 = $730 - $200(selling EVGA 570) = $530. Now, I have a 920mhz core and a 175GB/s memory bandwidth on my current EVGA. I'm counting on maybe the dual-card setup both being at at least 850mhz, possibly both even being the 920mhz my current card has but I'm being pessimistic for a worse-case scenario with the 2nd card. Temps have gotten around 60C with my current card when I use the 850mhz Afterburner Profile. Even if the second card is 20C hotter, that's 80C and not TOO outrageous, but I'll have the new HAF 932 so maybe it won't be that bad. So, the question, is it really worth that extra $210 for the Gigabyte SOC cards? Do they overclock so well that I should spend that much more money when I'll probably be getting 850mhz cores with EVGA's? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Afterburner shows the temps at the end of the 3dmark11 performance test -Ambient around 18c. The Gigabyte GV-N570OC-13I (Windforce 3x) have smaller quieter fans on it, so in my fan profile I up'ed them a bit. Should I oc these more? and what settings should I use? -Anyone

Update: After fiddling seems to be working great at this voltage... I dare not increase it any further on air...

Speeds now matching a pair of GTX580's in SLI at less than a 2/3's in price

i got 950/2150 at 1.088, might try less ram and see if i can lower voltage a little?

Have you tried lower voltages? (i'm sure it will be stable at least at 1.065v) Lower voltage = lower temp, or at least i though.
