GTX 570 overclocking thread - Page 81

I think PSU matters more than mobo, if your PSU has a high ripple you might need more voltage for a stable OC.

CPU @ 4.5GHz
GPU @ 900/1800/4200
Score: P6632

Left the fan profile on default, it is hardly audible and the temps max at just over 50c. Voltage shows 0.975, but I'm sure I saw it at 0.980 though. Would still like to see how far I can push it before it is maxed out.

This probably doesn't qualify as proper stress testing, I only ran one bench of 3DMark 11 and Heaven each, but the card ran without fault.

Can someone please help me unlock my BIOS too 1.2v!

The link at the beginning of the post doesnt work.

I have asus gtx 570 dcuii in SLI, and ive been told these are much safer too overclock than a regular gtx 570 because the VRMs have been completely reworked. But I cannot figure out how too edit my bios.

I tried with NiBitor, but it says it doesnt recognise my bios, and suggests if I want too use it as a Gefore 6, 7, 8, or FX card. I dont know what too do here. I havnt even started trying too flash yet which sounds hard too, as im using a 64 bit version of windows.

Ill attach a copy of my BIOS, please if someone is experienced with bios modding do you think you could do it for me. PLEASE be experienced and confident if you do. I would like it unlocked too 1.2v.

I dont care about my clock speeds, I just want too get into the heaven top 30 thread god damnit!!

biggrin.gif

If anyone can help me, THANKS. I will be checking back in... about 10 hours smile.gif

Hi all.
GTX 570 SOC (GV-N570SO-13I). Unlocked GPU voltage.
Normally the "Gigabyte OC GURU" GPU voltage = ~1.125V
Stable raise GPU @ 960, in 3DMark11.
MSI KOMBUSTOR GPU @980

socr.th.jpg

Edit the configuration file UDV.ini OC Guru, we find an interesting model of the card.
In my case it is:

; GV-N570SO-1GI
[10DE_1086_3510_1458]
VolChipType=5
UdvChipType=3
VddciLevel=-1
TemperatureWarning=95
STDCurrentRate=1120
STDPowerPhase=12
GreenModeClockRate=0.8
ChipsetSeries=6
UnSupportPcbTemperature=1

Change the value of:
"VolChipType"=5 to 4
Save and exit Notepad.
Start the OC GURU.
GPU voltage is now between 1.25 V

1001og.th.jpg

GPU clock can be set at more than 1GHz
Ensure stability in 3DMark11.

This will work fine with my asus ones right? I will try it now

edit: damn no asus card support which is fair enough.

If only there were something like this for msi afterburner!

So, I successfully overclocked my i5 2500k to 4.5ghz. Now, I want to overclock my GPU.

I purchased:

Amazon.com: MSI N570GTX Twin Frozr III Power Edition/OC Graphics Card: Electronics
Because I knew I wanted to overclock this card. My main question is, what values would you guys recommend I start with? I'm always hesitant when I first start overclocking new parts because I never know what to start at.

Also, the temps are great on this card currently. It idles at 30 degrees and the highest it reaches is 62 degrees while gaming.

Current settings:

Voltage: 1.04-1.06 (not sure)
Core Clock: 770
Shadow Clock: 1540
Memory Clock: 2000
Fan speed(while idling): 40%
