at the pc store i worked at, people forgot to leave pw's all the time, we just booted in safe mode, went to the admin account, then wrent to user accounts panel and hit remove password and it was simple as wthat

This is only for BIOS.

Safe mode is good, boot into safemode, log in as Guest and then go to start > run > control userpasswords2 and change the password of the admin account.
