Homeworld, a game from 1999 uses 4 cores like a champ! What?

Oh my god, I just installed Homeworld (one of my favorite games ever), the first game in the series, which is from 1999.

I am running it on my sig, and the game flies. But what I found strange were the CPU temperatures rising above 50, which is rather unusual for a game (in my system, at least).

To my surprise, the game was using each and every core from my CPU And not lightly, either. It was using it more than COD:BO or BC2.

Here's a screenshot of my task manager a few minutes into gameplay:

After some research, I found that one guy actually found back in 2002 that Homeworld was the only game that could take advantage of his dual Pentium 3 system.

I am simply amazed. A game from 1999 that is multi-threaded... and can in fact use 4 cores?

What is it that you wanna see?

Can't you see that processes were ordered by CPU usage? Rather than alphabetically?

You don't have to believe me if you don't want to.

Hmm, pretty weird.

Somewhat unrelated: how are you managing to only use 0.98GB of RAM? I seem to use at least 1.5GB even when I'm just sitting at the desktop. I probably have a bunch of services that I don't know about running in the background
