meh looks pretty unlikely. Shame though, I remember being so involved in the campaigns story line.

EDIT: NVM, looks like that post is from 2005?

There have been some very well threaded games around for over a decade.

There are plenty of sloppy, mostly single threaded games still being released.
But the amazing thing is that they made threaded games when we couldn't even dream of multicore CPUs.

Surely the devs didn't know as well? Back in 1999, most people when they imagined new CPUs, they probably thought of CPUs reaching insane clock speeds and staying single core, and not moving to multi core. No?

I know people who had dual or quad CPU workstations in 95-96. Some dual Pentium setups weren't even prohibitively expensive. Of course, there weren't really any multi-threaded games at the time, mostly because of OS limitations.

Later there were dual Athlon XP and Pentium III setups running Win 2k and XP that could take advantage of the first multi-threaded PC games.

Yea, the posts are old and before THQ bought the rights from Vivendi. On of the main arguments that HW3 will never be was the fact that Vivendi still owned the rights which is untrue now.
