Yeah, you can trade / hope to craft or find the weps, but it still annoys me that anyone with spare cash bypasses the whole chance thing.

But, I paid ~$10-20 for the game on release day, and got over 300 hours of enjoyment from it. Not too bad.
Ya but everyone knows if valve did not sell items they could not continue with these updates. Only people who are dieing to be yelled at buy items. I played probably 30 hours and got every single new poly count weapon. Do not worry about your sniper example cause all the new sniper stuff is awful. The new sniper rifle can't head shot making it so any decent sniper will always win a battle with someone using it. Without the new gun the bonus is lost for the extra health.

Then stop the updates. CS:S is fine without millions of hats or new guns.

It makes corner humping body shot snipers unbeatable. The advantage I always had on them was the ability to jump from cover and headshot before they could hit me in the stomach.

Now they just take the hit and live to tell about it.

What's that? There is more to the game then sniper battles? You mean you could just go spy or scout and kill the sniper?

The whole point if TF2 is adapting to situations. If you can't headshot that sniper, then go a different class.

The medic weapons are awesome.
The steak looks like it might be somewhat OP.
Rest of the weapons are pretty meh. The new demoman pipe launcher doesn't seem to be able to 1hit scouts, so there's really not much point in using it.

TBH Valve is releasing too many weapons. It's getting pretty confusing.

I'd have to agree, they could do less weapons at a time and just release them more often, hell you would almost just assume that they would...

Guys, the medieval mode is basically a vanilla TF2 mode. So stop complaining that they never implemented it.

My thoughts:

Thank god the Natty finally got nerfed.

None of the sets as a whole are good: a good medic would never use the saw, a good demo would never use the LnL, and any heavy with brains would never use the beef and the claws together.

Things to take away worth a damn: The medic's crossbow. That thing is the s***, can't say enough good about it. Oh no, a solly out of your range is about to crater? Not anymore, gave him enough health to save him. The demo's pipe bomb: hilarious last-resort weapon. Used with the targe, it WILL crit. That'll most likely get changed.

Not sure about: The brass beast. It has tons of negatives and I'm not sure the damage boost counteracts them just yet. The Jag: it only buffs initial construction rate. If it was improvement rate as well, it would be the tits--it's still a straight upgrade over the other 2 wrenches because no good engie will use a wrench in combat as the shotty is more effective. However as it stands it's not THAT great of a weapon, it needs something else to differentiate it.

my favorite new weapon so far is the caber...got 2 kills with one click for a melee weapon...pretty cool. The brass beast is probably not worth it...mostly for defense since you are stuck to the ground and are more of a spy target than before.
