[Newegg] Open Box Asus VE276Q 27" LCD with DisplayPort for $253.19 shipped

Thread Starter
Newegg has the Open Box Asus VE276Q 27" LCD for $253.19 shipped. It has all four display technologies (DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI, and VGA) so it would probably make a great Eyefinity monitor. There were five in stock when I posted this thread.

what's wrong with that, you won't need anything higher until you get to the 30's

i'm using a 26" with 1920x1200 and it very sharp and clear.

why bother getting something that huge and expensive and low res when you can get two smaller ones with the same resolution for the same price?

I'm not sure what you meant by that. Two screens with resolutions adding up to 1920x1080? I would assume you meant two screens, both with 1920x1080 resolution, but you can't find two screens of that resolution that have a total cost equivalent to this.

Even then...
1 screen=no border
larger screen with larger pixels>small screens with microscopic text/icons
most likely less power consumption with one screen
more uniform contrast/tone

Because monitors with 2560x1600 res cost WAY more ($1000 give or take) and i really don't like how square-ish 1920x1200 monitors look. Plus i needed a TV for my bedroom anyways, and this was cheaper and will look better. So i guess it depends on your individual needs. No need for thread bashing. If you dont like the deal, move on.
