Guys help please, I'm going crazy. Half the time I can't post, but can bench at 881??

I can't post with my two cards in.

I can't post half the time from a cold start with my gtx 470.

But I can run vantage at 881 core, and play BFBC2 maxed out with 871 for four hours tonight without any problem?

What's going on here? Clearly my PSU is making enough power, else I wouldn't be able to overclock at all, and probably crash at full load.

I don't understand what is going on, I have no issue with my 9800GT other than I can't post with them both in, and sometimes I can't post at all with my gtx 470, but I can post within 30 seconds after swapping the two cards out.

Ignore the less than stellar score, my 1090T isn't overclocked very high.

Is it a bios issue? I'm starting to think its something other than the video card or PSU... What do you guys think, ugh I'm going insane

10 passes of OCCT gpu mem test passed.

Should I do more, or use something else?

There is a known issue (see giant EVGA thread that is stickied on their forums) with some EVGA GTX 470s, maybe other cards too. They will work forever in games and once you've booted up successfully, but some of them hang within a few seconds of logging into Windows now and then.

No one knows the cause or the cure. All I know is that I happened to switch motherboards and the problem disappeared for me. Not really helpful, except maybe it means that any BIOS setting connected the PCI-E voltage should be increased a little.

One thing I noticed is that the boot hang ups reduced dramatically if I let the system boot using default clocks. Just apply overclock a few minutes after the system is stable.

You could RMA it to see if you get back something less problematic.

I talked to ASUS today and they said I got a second bad card.

Gonna have to rma it back to Newegg, again

My luck has just been amazing as of late.

Edit:

Does anyone know if there is anyway to fix this? The card is pretty awesome aside from it's posting problem, but I seem to be able to get it to post if I leave it out of my system for ~30 minutes and just use my 9800GT during that time.
