6870 xfire 3dmark fail?

Thread Starter
I just got my 6870 xfire set up and wanted to test them out so I ran 3dmark and I get strange results compared to my previous 5850 xfire. It says memory is 1mb, core clock 100mhz and memory clock is 300mhz? See attched photo. Any ideas where I'm failing?

Normal, don't worry about it.

You are being CPU limited, that's why there is hardly any difference. Clock your CPU higher if you want a higher score.

then why is my score lower with 2x 6870 vs 2x 5850???

I'm a noob, sorry. What do you mean clock my cpu higher? OC it more? They were both at the same OC of about 3.8

when I had 2x 5770 and went to 2x 5850 my score went up so why not in this case? My score went lower with a better card.

40 points is within the margin of error.

Also, HD6870 is not much better than the HD5850.

5850's are on par with 6870's. You've been duped by ATI.
