PSU Problem?

Hey

I recently have a bit of a problem. Whenever I walked by my computer, my computer crashes. I have no idea what is going on.. I am suspecting power supply... but I am not 100% sure.. Other than this problem, the computer has been running 100% perfect.

A bit information:

My case is a Storm Sniper.
My PSU is a OCZ Stealthstream 500watt. PSU is mount on the bottom.
My case is left on the floor, floor is tiles.
I wear plastic slippers. (Not sure if it's some grounding related problem?)

I never had this problem before when my computer was left on my desk.

This crash only occur approximately 75% of the time when I walk by my computer. No other reason to this.

Any input would be nice.

Thank you!

wait what? i think it would be grounding issues, although you'd probably be dead by now.. or something terribly loose in your PC

can you tell us how long you have had your Build?
have you moved it recently?

and I would start by disconnecting your computer and checking everything is connected properly on the insides

Thanks for the reply!

I had this build for a while. I just recently moved here (Dorm). I do believe it something related to the tiles and my slippers... I never had this problem before back at home and that was for over 6 months.

I am probably going to reconnect all my cables next week (Hopefully) after exams. ... Just hoping its not a PSU problem?

I noticed that my PSU collect A LOT of dust with the tides and the fact that is mounted on the bottom.

I was thinking that my slippers walking by the dust somehow discharge my PSU, but I am no scientist. ..

Yea then it is likely that something is loose. Go ahead and Check that when you have the chance, if you still have trouble then go get rid of any dust bunnies with a can of compressed gas (dust off). I wouldn't recommend opening up the PSU but if you can and can manage to be safe (warranty voiding) blow the dust out good luck with your finals!
