Gtx 570 vs hd 6970

Hi, I'm getting a new computer and I can't decide whether to go with the GTX 570 or the HD6970. Here's my build atm:

I'm not going to SLI/Crossfire, and they cost just as much.

I play WoW, CoD and my resolution is 1680x1050.

Do you have any criticism on the build?

Thanks!

Depends on the Resolution of your monitor, and what titles you play really.

My comments:

1. The motherboard of your choice (Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H) has 2 pairs of RAM slots, making your choice of 3x2GB kit a little odd?

You better get one or two 2x2GB kits.

2. I suggest the HD6970 and then enable the Hybrid CrossfireX with the onboard integrated graphics. (Edit 1: I cannot find an official source that confirms HD6970 supports Hybrid CrossfireX. So, I have to take back this suggestion).
If it is not for this reason, I would suggest the GTX570 as it is cheaper, faster and cooler.

for your res either gfx will work. Secondly since your going amd I would get the ati card cuz then in a year if you want a gfx update you can just get a second card and CF then. This would be the more economical choice at least

gtx 570.. it's better in many ways, the 6970 only has advantage in higher res (1080p+) due to 2gb vram

For the low res he plays at yes, a 570 is generally faster.

Although atm I'm getting 78fps in the center of org on BR.

And 238fps in cata heroics.

All eyecandy up to max @ 1920x1200

What about AMD processors for WoW? I heard that Intel processors work a lot better for Cataclysm.

If there is anything to mark the Ananadtech comparison.

Few notes.
1. GTX 570 won 1/3 of the tests against HD6970.
2. HD6970 won 1/3 of the tests against GTX 570.
3. In the other 1/3 they were equal.
4. HD6970 won by being quieter, ran cooler and consumed less power.

I might stick with my GTX460 SLI but I'm craving to try out the 6970.

GTX570 is more future proof.
