Suggestions for i7 950 & GTX 460

Thread Starter
I'm going to be putting a PC together in January and I'd like to water cool it as I am planning to OC the CPU. Not to concerned about the GPU at this time but would like to get it into the loop if it's not to much.

The system:

i7 950 (looking to clock to 4+)
PNY Nvidia GTX460
Gigabyte X58A-UD5 MB
12 gig of corsair dominator ram 3x4
60 gig corsair ssd
1 tb western digitial 72000 rpm

With that said I am leaning towards the HAF932 case. I was wanting the black one without the side fans, just the large window but not sure if the loss of the fans on the side are worth it.

The rad I was thinking was a XSPC RX360 mounted on the top of the case in push/pull as an exhaust. So that's where cutting out the side fans by the large window might not be great with just having the one front fan to push air into the case the suction out would cause a lot of pull of dust into the machine.

For the block would a xspc rasa or ek supreme hf be better?

Would the MCP355 be enough or should I go for the 655?

I would go for the 655 for future additions to the loop. I have a 655 vario and it pumped 2 gpus, cpu, and 2 rads no problem. I would also suggest a heatkiller block. the lc works as well as any. There are also full cover blocks out there for the 460 if you want to go that way. The XSPC, Feser, or the Phobya G-changer are all good rads.

The MCP 355 has 16' of head, meaning it can push water through 16' of tubing and whatnot. If you know you're going for a long loop with multiple things, it might be a better idea to get the 355. However, for a CPU and GPU only loop, the 655 vario will do just fine.
