To build or not to build...

Well im a long time lurker as ive been planning to get a new pc after christmas so finally decided to post. My problem is i am unsure whether to buy a prebuilt system as ive never built one myself or take the plunge and build my first system.

These are the specs ive been looking at for building it myself:

The i5 OC bundle
: 375.99

Or SB when released

Cm690 II Advanced: 68.99

EVGA GTX 570 : 281.49

Samsung Spinpoint F3: 39.93

650w Corsair TX
: 64.77

DvD drive

Windows 7 64 bit
: 74.11

All comes to £933.81+ shipping

Or i could buy a similar prebuilt system from 3xs for around £1100

The only reason why i worry about building myself is because i have seen conflicting views from people some saying it can be a nightmare and others saying its worth it.

So should i build and if so are those specs okay?

Thanks in advance

Yeah my only issue with waiting for SB is that as its my first build i dont know whether im better using the older well established chipset rather than having to deal with the problems that can occur with newer tech
