Why do you "need" DDR3? Overpriced and latency impeded memory that offers little or no benefit if you are running some ancient procerssor.

USB3.0 can easily be added by plunking in a PCI card, at least for the interim. There are not many peripherals that take advantage of USB3.0; and really, if the idea is to have USB3.0 in order to connect external drives - you will get much better performance by going FireWire anyways.

Besides, you may be comparing prices between boards that are not equivalent, like perhaps a low end Biostar board vs. a high end Gigabyte. But I am not sure why you would bother changing out a motherboard if you have some old processor - and if you have an old processor, I am not sure why you would bother with fru-fru like DDR3 which the old processor can't really take advantage of anyways.

i dont want fanboy suggestion
why you say gigabyte is the high end and biostar is low end?
which specification makes these diffrences?
only brand name?
or brand class?
because it has higher class?
what is important in motherboard is the chipset them two both are 890FX only the board and the extra like usb three makes diffrence
when you decide to buy LED for your home yes Brand SONY is twice Pricely than SAMSUNG but which gives you better image quality or contrast ? surely Samsung
only The brand Name increases the Price
factory Cost for Producing this two LED maybe diffrence only for 200$
but you buy samsung for 2000$ and you must buy Sony for 3500$
1300$ only for the Class of the Name

It's the quality of the components on the mobo that makes a difference in low to high end.

The store you're bying from doesn't have the UD5? Check part number GA-890FXA-UD5. Seems kind of weird that it has the TA890FXE, the UD3, the UD7, but not the UD5. Also, the pricing is way off. You can get the Biostar for less than the UD3? That's a joke. The Biostar has the high-end 890FX chipset while the UD3 has the old 790X chipset.

Of the 3 you listed, go with the Biostar TA890FXE.

As for a USB 3.0 card, they're pretty easy to find. I'm not sure where you're going to buy one from, but they look like this.

Just buy the Biostar board. It works well. Best bang for the buck.

In some parts of the world, distributors import only certain models to cater different budgets. Thus, we don't have as wide selections as people do in NA.
Around where I am, Biostar offer much better price/performance ratio than their better-known competitors and old higher end models rarely get significant price cuts. Silly as it may sound, but that's how it is.

dadasalam:
Get the Biostar.
