Klipsch Image S4 Burn in?

Thread Starter
I just picked up the image s4 earbuds and started listening to music at about 50% volume. What is this burn in process i keep reading about. Some say its required while others don't care. Do i just keep listening to my music or should i stop and do burn in before? Thanks

Thats a really steep statement to make. First of all, break in happens. This is a mechanical process. Burn in is not the same as break in. People misuse these two terms all the time.

Burn in as a result of break in is purely subjective to the listener.

OP, the extent of burn in greatly varies from headphones you are using. I dont recall too many people talk about getting better sound from the S4 as a result of burn in, but please read this FAQ as it will greatly increase your knowledge on the subject.

I have them, I didn't bother myself with the whole break in concept.. I just put them on and they sound pretty amazing... I did start to noticed the lower frequencies got sharper after about 10-15 hours.

Yes there is burn in! I actually just got my pair of S4s back from RMA and I'm in the process burn in. After 200 hours they sound unbelievably better. Just burn them in with your favorite kind of music.

They were basically new with all accessories
