The OCN etched applique.

Have a few questions, help a n00b out:

How do I apply it?
Is it an adhesive sticker? If not, what is it?
Is it easily removable?
Is it meant for glass or acrylic?

Hi.

If what you have is an applique and not a sticker:
  • Thoroughly clean the surface to be used
  • Spray a light misting of clean water on the surface
  • Place the applique on the surface
  • Use a squeegee or soft spatula and gently squeegee the water out from under the applique
  • Carefully remove the protective backing (pulling at a 90-degree angle)
  • Watch to ensure that the pieces of the applique are remaining on the surface, if they are not you can carefully back up and rub some more, then continue
  • Once the protective backing is removed let the applique air-dry
  • Carefully clean the surrounding area of any water marks

Yes, they are removable but can take some time

Appliques can be used on both glass and acrylic.

thanks for the info!
is it easily removable?

I would not call them "easily" removable, but that depends upon the surface.

With glass they are readily removable (a glass scraper will make short order of the removing process).

Acrylic is a different situation and will take longer, saturating the panel with water to soften the applique works well.

Note that the applique will most likely be destroyed in the process.
