Setting up H50 as Push-Pull Exhaust?

The case i'm getting is the Lian-li lancool PC-K62.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-239-_-Product

I just ordered the H50, and i'm going to set it up with the 120mm fan in the back as an exhaust. Its going to be a push-pull setup. I've heard the H-50 as an exhaust isn't as good. Is this true and how will greatly will the temps be affected?

Before you get the H50 read this.http://www.guru3d.com/article/corsai...ooler-review/1 for the performance vs price I would just get one of these babys. http://www.guru3d.com/article/zalman...00-max-review/ As you can see from the testing the Zalman out performs the H50. IMO if you're going to go H20 then do it. Don't buy one of these pre-assembled H20 coolers unless you have no other option. Build a true H20 setup and you will be much happier with your results.

If you change it around, so that the H50 is pushing air into the case, the (2) top exhaust fans will clear it out nicely before it has a chance to affect any internal components. Now you have the best of both worlds: nice cool air hitting the H50 radiator, push-pull to get good airflow through the radiator, and a way to get the hot air out of the case in a nice tight airflow loop.

Think about how the PSU pulls in fresh air from the bottom, then turns it 90 degrees to exhaust it out of the case. Do the same on the top, except the airflow loop is exposed, out in the open.

Just a thought, because I have an instinctive aversion to pumping hot air into my case.... but it's the best solution, really.

It clearly shows the H50 100@ load temp to be lower than the zalmans & I picked up my H50 for $55 so i'm not complaining about price.

Also, If i set this up as a Intake in the back and flip the two 140mms on the top to Exhaust, will it work as hot air rises?

Well no... I'm not bashing but the Zalman and the H50 are aprox the same @ load. The H50 is 52*C load and the Zalman 47*C Load. However, to each their own. If you're sticking with the H50 I would nix the fan that came with it and pickup a couple higher performing fans in push-pull.

I used to have mine as intake in the rear, but now I have it as exhaust. There are two reasons why I did this:

1. Less dust
2. Does not disrupt airflow in the case

I didn't notice any temperature gain, but I have a mild overclock. If you planned for a huge overclock anyway you would probably want to look at real watercool set up.
