Series Pump question.

Ok so i have 2 mcp350's, similar impeller, similar pcb. Ones got an XSPC restop, and the other has just the arcryllic top. What should i put first?

I could test for flow difference with 2 buckets, but that doesnt really reflect real life performance as in reality the fluid feeding my pump would have motion.

Im thinking non res first as a "pull" and then have it feed the restop as a "push"
but the problem i see with that is that the res kills pressure.

Anyone have any exp in this?

I don't think that the reservoir will detract from the pressure in the loop. That aside, I would put the reservoir-topped pump first.



P.S. I don't think that pumps with impellers can "pull".

I think it can be anywhere in the loop, as long as the res-less pump gets filled with water.
My guess, you should turn ON just one pump (with res/top) , let is push the water trough the whole loop, including the second pump. And then you can turn ON the second one too.

They will be fine in series. The difference between the two will be incredibly negligible if there is any. The res top and the acryllic top are the same design so no worries. You also can't really "pull" with that type of pump.

Alrigthy, +rep all around

Ill just run the restop first then. According to Martins test on the ddc3.1, the estimated flow for both tops is similar. Since my pull theory is false there shouldnt be a difference. You guys think i can run the smallest nozzle on my Fuzion? Ive got 2 rad's and a MCW60 in my loop.
