Fans on Motherboard ?

Thread Starter
hi, I wanted to know if i could control the fan speed of the fans plugged onto the mobo of my sig rig. I just plugged them on the mobo insteand of running them full speed on molex but I cant seem to be able to control them with the mobo either. I tried Speedfan but it doesnt detect the fans

You could try changing the speed using the BIOS.

Well, if you mb is anything like my Asus P7P55D-E Pro, the only fans your mb will control are PWM fans. I am thoroughly disgusted with this mb; I rue the day I bought it.

Gigabyte boards allow both PWM and Voltage control; even the cheap ones do.

If you can't find a way in BIOS to switch to Voltage control, you're SOL.
