A little searching on google leads me to believe there is a known issue with gskill ram + asus mobos and a cold boot problem, very similar to mine (only having a hard time booting after 6+ hours of being off) Im not sure if there is something I could do or just grab some kingston ram or something. Anyone know about this and any suggestions? Buy a new mobo and keep my 8 gigs of gskill or buy new ram? Either way it looks like this problem is going to cost me.

How Extensively did you test your overclock in order to deem it 24/7 stable?

Unstable overclocks can do more than just cause freezing or BSOD's within Windows, they can also prevent a system from booting, POST and passing the BIOS correctly.

Are you running the latest BIOS for your board?

F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL is the ram I go and when I look at the boards supported list, it seems to not be on there as I may have misread. Maybe this is the problem for the cold boot?

increase bootup voltages. most motherboards have two seperate vcore voltage settings: bootup, and eventual. increase vcore, and vtt bootup voltages a notch or two. but leave the eventual voltages to whatever u have them set at now. cold boots seem to take a bit more power then a warm boot or a reset.

i thought asus boards had a bootup voltage setting?maybe only evga boards then. increase your vcore and vtt 1 notch. or turn llc on if it isnt already.

i had a similar problem with a 4ghz overclock on my evga board. i got everything stable at 4 ghz, then powered down the machine. woke up next day and when i turned it on no post. increase the bootup vcore solved it.
