Thanks for the tip man. I'll use MSi Afterburner then. I was old school before with my old GTX 260 and my 8800GT, I used RivaTuner

Yeah you have an awesome VID. Too bad you stripped the screws when you replaced the TIM otherwise your temps would be a lot better

They run a bit on the warm side at 800/1600 - 1.05mV, I have seen 77 - 79c when playing alot of BC2 and I have a HF bracket, backplate & MX-2 on it.. BlackOps isnt too bad. Games that really push the heat seem to be GRID - DIRT_2 - BC2 - Crysis. I havent played many of the others that are real stressful....

I can hit 825/1650 @ 1.087mV for benching...

All in all your going to love it if your coming from a 260 to it....

I'm actually coming from an 8800GT lmao.

This card is like 5x 8800GT ahha.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll post back with Card VID soon. I just enable voltage control in MSi AfterBurner correct?

I doubt that you'll hit 17k with the card at 800mhz. You saw my SS with the card at 930/2000 and it didn't hit 17k. If I pushed the cpu some more I'm sure that I could have, but gpu clocks have a greater impact than cpu clocks.

BTW, the vid on mine was 1.027v. The vid on my asus is 1.000 and clocks nowhere near as well as my EVGA. Too bad the evga is dying and is getting traded in for a 570.

The good thing is that those are just numbers for one benchmark. For gaming and other things, you are going to see a noticeable improvement.

Thanks mike.

I ran 3DMark06 and I hit just below 14k

Bear in mind that I'm still running my E5200 at 3.2GHz and I won't get my Q6600 until later this week.

But yeah, there is a huge bottleneck on the card, hence why I upgraded to the Q6600.

I figured 17k in Vantage because you were running lower than 3.6GHz, so I guess i'll have to have the card at 850-900Mhz core to do that at 3.6GHz with my Q6600.

And the 3DMark06 was with the card @ stock.

Wow, that's weird coz I got 18k5 in Performance preset with my 470 at 800Mhz.
