Nzxt Phantom or Storm Sniper Black?

Hey all,

I was asked by a friend who's building a new system which case he should get. I have the SS Black, and I'm very happy with it, and it also fits his check-list for a case, so I thought it was a no-brainer, but then he asked me about the new Nzxt Phantom. I started reading about it and I have to say it looks like a very cool case with great cooling options (I also have to say the white version is gorgeous, very storm-trooper).

He's currently living in Europe, and there the Phantom costs 195$, and the SS 280$. Which is CRAZY. I'm thinking of telling him to get the Phantom just for the price difference (here it's 110$ vs. 140$, much saner), even if he'll end up adding 2 more 200mm fans to it (optional in the Phantom).

Anyone has the Phantom? Impressions?

Wow I feel bad for him with those prices. I got my sniper for like $89 one week on newegg. I would get the chaper one. It looks pretty decent and I couldn't justify the extra cost. I like the HAF 912 tho..... good case and not too pricey either. May be an option to consider idk.

I'd prefer the NZXT case in this situation.

yeah the SS has a crazy price-tag. i guess it's the customs over there. don't envy him...

does the Phantom have dust-filters? if so, are they removable?

and btw, i really like the fact that they didn't go lazy with the white version and just left the interior unpainted- it's all white as well smile.gif

btw, anyone got better suggestion than these 2? i don't have that much experience with cases, so any comparable cases would be welcome.
i know that he can't stand red leds, so haf 932 is out of the question. there's lots of dust where he lives, so he would prefer removable dust filters, but not a must.

The HAF X or HAF 932 are also good cases IMO
