Is 25mm the smallest they make fans?
They make all the way down to 10mm fans, but they don't perform very well. Even 20mm perform quite a bit worse than 25mm.

You would need 3.5 in of space for an RX240 + fans.

what about these moving 45 cfm?? http://www.frozencpu.com/products/91...?tl=g36c15s972how would they work? they are pretty noisy but they do lower rpm versions, which are quieter!! i also have a question charlie horse, i currently have two enermax 1200 rpm white led 14 dba fans on my swiftech 240 and i have 2 cooler master sickle 2000rpm fans on my rx240, do you think i will get better performance(noise and temp) by swapping them??

I've heard that slipstreams are horrible for heatsinks/radiators

My main question right now is why shouldn't i get the RX240. Why does it being thicker matter as far as it fitting in the case? I know there are components below it and everything but as the cpu is watercooled i don't have to worry about running into the cpu cooler?!

Why are people saying the thicker one doesn't fit well?

Like snips stated... You could run into troubleinstalling RAM stickslater on. I measured my case and an RX would interfere with my RAM. So now I am looking at an externally mounted rad or the RS for internal mounting. Still debating on this... Make a mock up using cardboard boxes and try to fit it in if in doubt.

I don't think you'll see any change. Both of those radiators are designed for mid speed fans, which you have.

I think all of this is going to be really complicated.. I think i'm going to have to just go with the RS240. I don't know how to mount it outside and it probably wouldn't work well as i plan on taking it to some local lan parties and such. And i don't think it would fit under my desk like that..

Why would it block the Ram slots? Is this just keeping me from installing more, or installing it all together?

kk, thanks mate i think a rs240 will be the best for your application and like you say noise isnt a huge factor, as your case fans will be high rpm fans putting out equal noise, its not like it will be deafening, just a lil noticable. goodluck with the loop

Thanks everybody for all the help. Like i said i think i'm going to just go for the RS240 and be safe knowing I can add another radiator later. I'll probably order it sometime this week or next. Hopefully i'll see a huge decrease in temperatures.

From the pictures I found, the rad + fans should block the few slots closest to your CPU. Not exactly sure since I'm not familiar with how a 240 rad is fitted inside a phantom. The RX240 is 28.6cm long, so you can do a measurement using the mounting holes on your case.

If the RX doesn't fit, the RS would be the way to go
