Thanks, as I am thinking of adding a 2nd card due to my need for smooth frame rates w/ eyefinity and 2560x1600 plus AA
50fps to 100+ for me in BC2 5760x1080.
play all low settings tho.
wasnt playable with one card with my criteria and standard.

Sure will

I should have researched eyefinity a bit more though before ordering so fast... but that's me!

How exactly would i set up crossfire 6970's with 3 DVI screens? I've read just now that atleast one of the connections HAS to be display port. Is that right?

I just thought i could connect two monitors to the first card using DVI and then one monitor to the second card using another DVI.

EDIT -

The BX2450 only has 2 hdmi connections and a vga port. Therefore to get eyefinity running do i -

Screen 1 -DVI to HDMI
Screen 2 -DVI to HDMI
Screen 3 -MiniDP to VGA

? Thanks.

All the screens have to be connected to you the first gpu for eyefinity.

ie.

Screen 1 DVI
Screen 2 DVI
Screen 3 mini-displayport

you can run separate monitors on your 2nd 6970...in windows mode, ie I have 5 monitors, I can run eyefinity on the first gpu (w/ the stated connection scenario up top), and run another 3 (maybe for 4...but hasn't been tested w/ the use of both display ports)

*no you can not connect dvi, dvi, and hdmi b/c the hdmi shares a connection w/ a DVI

I'm assuming your new LCD's will not have a displayport connection or a mini, so you need one of these here

if you have any additional questions, then feel free to ask

you will love eyefinity or multi-monitor gaming...

With the adapter is there any of the black screen/flickering issues?

Secondly and importantly the BX2450's only come with 2 HDMI's and a VGA. Can i get a mini DP to HDMI adapter (and will that work) or will a miniDP to VGA adapter be a better idea?

I would prefer the MDP to HDMI option but i bet that does not work in eyefinity... Furthermore i have heard bad things about the MDP to VGA adapter (flickering etc).

Thanks.

I've seen no reports of any issues from various forums, I use a similar adapter, but I purchased mine through sapphire and it's a regular display port...so the powercolor one eliminates the need for a displayport to mini display port adapter
