Just three or four months ago I purchased two Sapphire HD6950/70 cards and tried Trixx. The fan curve would not work on both cards in crossfire, only on the primary card. That's why I started using AB.

I currently have the XFX 6950 2GB and im not sure if it unlocks, people have said the command to unlock the rom dosent work but I have the Double D which is a Dual fan, and mine dosent have the BIOS switch hence it has 1 and 2 located where the BIOS switch would go.
Are you sure about that? According to this review:
You cannot unlock the Sapphire Dirt 3 1GB HD6950 card. I have two Sapphire cards right now, and when I purchased them the company sent one of the wrong cards (6950). It was at the time when they were running out of reference cards so they sent me the newer version of the HD6950 and it would not unlock. As a matter of fact, the switch for the dual BIOS was not even soldered onto the board. Lucky for me I had talked to the sales person at the reputable store I ordered it from, and they allowed me to return it because I had told them I didn't want it if it was not a reference card.
I know some newer HD6950 cards that are not reference can still unlock, but I'm not sure that the Sapphire cards are in that class. I would look into it more before purchasing if I were you.
Is there some reason why I was removed from the member list? I don't see me there, and I joined months ago when the only requirement was a picture of your cards which I provided.
It's sort of too bad I will be so low down on the list now. Not important I guess...Edited by Mergatroid - 1/5/12 at 4:36pm
