Well, installed new PowerColor 6950 and it ran good last night. Cranked it up this morning and it got to the desk top and then screen started changing different colors along the bottom and the computer crashed and did a dump.

Started in safe mode and restored to a before the card date. Restarted and same thing. Tried uninstalling AMD CCC and driver. Same problem.

Put in the old 4670 and runs fine. Guess its RMA time.

Sounds like it. I never trusted powercolor.

That sucks big time. It's always a pain to have to ship an RMA.

I have a Power Color 6970 and two sapphire 6970 in my Rig and the Power color is by far the best clocker, and with low voltage too. I always buy sapphire and I got a good deal on the Power color (it was new but open box at ncix).

Rumored to be around 110C. I wouldn't take it over 90C, though, if I were you. Mine never hits 70C. tongue.gif
