You should be fine but i would suggest getting a more powerful one ... Find out how much power the 6950 uses during load and find out how much your cpu uses under load and see what the numbers are ..then you got to think about hdd's , dvd drives , fans , your mobo all need to be powered also .

Hehe ok then, guess I'll pass on the ram upgrade and get a 6950+antec 650w truepower..
Also, I've been kind of away lately.. Have many people sucessfully unlocked the 6950 to 6970?

Many people so far , including my self . Try and get yourself a sapphire card , they have 100% success rate with flashing over to the 6970 bios .

Really? How come other brands don't get the same reults? I mean....they are all reference right? Very interesting. Maybe sapphire have made a tiny tweak somewhere?

Well im not 100% on the statistics so far with the unlocking but i know my sapphire card unlocked fine ? like it was meant to . As for other vendors like asus , xfx , gigabyte im not too sure how succesful the flashing has been .

You saying people are having issues flashing the 6950 other than the sapphire model ? that is intersting

sapphire could have made this more possible on their boards , who knows . But im stoked i bought a sapphire .

My GIGABYTE 6970 Just arrived today, newegg did a good job with their careful packaging as always!

I'm pretty sure I'll be the only one in the club with the GIGABYTE version of the 6970 so far!

I will be using this card once I get my RAM and WC all set up..

My XFX 6950s just got an hour ago. I just swapped out my 4890XT CF w/ ek waterblocks and put in 1 6950. Posting on it now. Thank god for quick grip clamps, I don't have to drain the system hehe. 2 clamps, flip the system over so water doesn't drain out of the rads, refit the outlet, bam and ready to go!
