If you look at the bottom of the GPU-Z window, you can see AMD Radeon 6900 Series. Click on the little arrow and it will show your second card. Click on it, and all the specs will change to reflect your 2nd card.

And if it doesn't, if I get a second 6970 for xfire will there be a bottleneck then?

I was using a Core 2 Quad, and in BF3 it was causing a bottleneck. I upgraded to the i5 2500K and overclocked it from 3.3GHz to 4.3GHz. Now the CPU never bottlenecks. I'm using ~ 2x HD6970 in crossfire.

Speaking of this, I just checked my load temps. Looks like I hit maybe 62, 65 max under load with my XFX dual fan model. You may want to think about an aftermarket HSF if your stock one doesn't improve much with new TIM and pads.

I just reapplied the TIM (MSI or AMD did a horrible job on stock TIM by the way). It didn't help with the load temperature. It is still 87C when stressed with default fan configuration. At 55% it is now 77C (weird).

It did however, help my idle temperature. My idle temperature is now 44C vs 57C before. So I have mixed feeling about it. I heard that 6950 max safe temperature is 90C to 95C?

Anyway, I probably will buy an aftermarket cooler. Still undecided about that.

It is a reference card, so the heatsink itself is sealed off.

Manufacturers stop making the 6000 series and are focusing on the 7000 series. Ebay or Craiglist my friend.

The unlocked 6950 is only verified as the 6970 by the showing of the increased shaders (1536) and showing of the gpu clock & memory speed matching the 6970 in your image.
